Whoever says don't believe what you are reading here can check the small claim public records. case#SMCCS1001034, total judgment amount against William Anderson (Red Dragon Karate of Chino Hills) is $1,280.

We took Chino Hill Red Dragon Karate and Sansei William Anderson to court and won the verdict. Now the judgment asked him to return the unlawful charges to us. Sansei William Anderson violates his own teachings to children about integrity and honest and he doesn't follow the judgment to pay the money back to us with the balance $1,280. And we will take any necessary legal action to get this amount of money back.

I sincerely wish more parents can read this report before you sign in your children with Red Dragon Karate of Chino Hills.

I don't know anything about a scam. (I think Tom's words were sarcasm BTW.) What I know are Tom and Jodi, and the long hours and dedication they put into their business. I took kickboxing and Ultimate Body Challenge classes on here and previously up at the Foothill studio for several years. It is a truly motivating environment with a lot of comraderie.

Don't believe everything you read here. Meet the people, then decide.

Pros: Dedicated instructors

Cons: Too far from home

I attended Sensei Tom's dojo for about 7 years and this whole scam thing is confusing. It says on one of the comments that Sensei Tom resigned (or something to that effect) on behalf of "scamming" which I just dont believe. But the thing that gets me is on Shihan Lou Cassamasa's RDK website it doesnt show the Monrovia Studio under locations.... So are the alligations true?

Tom and Jody Hould left the Red Dragon chain a few months ago (thankfully) and have created Kaizen martial arts and fitness. They are dedicated to the martial arts and fitness that they teach. My daughter has attended classes with Shihan Tom and his staff for 7 years and it has been the best experience for her. I have been going to Jody's kickboxing class for 5 years and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high energy motivating class. If all of the negative reviews are overwhelming and confusing go see for yourself! Some people will post anything out of jealousy.

Opponent to scam review. Those of you who only touch the surface of the Martial Arts are missing the concept entirely. Moving in and through the table top introduction is your first step in succeeding in a system of profound insight to mind and body and soul. Not everyone will be at the same level. And this is a proficient stage of development (i.e. to accept people as they are). If one has journeyed through the Red Dragon system with Shihan Tom Hould and his wife Jody then one will know that the change in the name is in direct symbology to a system that believes in change and profound movement forward in all aspects of an adult??s and a child??s life. Differing perspectives promote growth patterns, and a consistent attitude that Shihan respects. Mental, Physical and Spiritual attainment comes at great cost. If it were at all an easy journey we would all be Black Belts. Connecting to inner awareness, and developing body movements in a tangible way will vary accordingly from person to person, student to student and child to child. This person who made the July 25th comment ?? we need people like you to sustain a system that is coherent to the educational process of growth in the Martial Art System. It is your daughter that will benefit us and we that will benefit from the gifts that you give to a class. We work together as a TEAM. Maybe it could be you that changes the word CLICK to ORGANIZED BENEFITS PROCEEDING FROM WITHIN AND WITHOUT. Change occurs with great speed and so instead of turning your back on a system that has yet to establish root within you ?? continue forth and try again. And let your daughter make that decision. After all, age begins with children, and children learn to stop and start again when really children need to sustain and maintain a program with integrity to get the full benefits. And this Ann, will occur at this studio if you allow it. My name is Karry Haggard and my 3 children began Karate in 1996. My son Matt is a 3rd degree Black Belt, my son Grant is a 1st degree Black Belt, and my daughter Kate is a Brown Belt. We completed our course in 2006; however, if you met my children you would see the perfect example of a true Martial Artist and they??re still in training in their Heart and Mind and Body and Soul. And Shihan is still their instructor throughout this journey of their life. Because he started the system, and it stuck.

I spent more than10 years studying with Tom Hould. My son and I started with him as an activity to share together. With Tom Hould, my son learned discipline that carried into other areas, including football at a Division One University and Law School in the Ivy League. For me, studying under Tom Hould was a life changing experience and made me a better and more confident person. I have seen Tom Hould take youngsters with disabilities and social problems and turn them into competitors. Everyone is welcome there, and everyone comes away with something they did not have. I am also a graduate from an Ivy League university and a top ten law school, and have studied martial arts extensively with other instructors, so I am a bit jaded and not easily impressed -- Tom Hould does impress me. His students become world class competitors. I recommend Tom Hould to all. As for the review below, sounds like a disgruntled competitor. Totally off the mark. TOM HOULD HAS A GREAT SCHOOL.

I attended the Cardio Karate classes for 2 years. It is the VERY BEST class I have ever attended!
I not only lost weight, but inches also. The class spirit was wonderful and encouraging--
I have moved and have tried to locate a similar class but have not been able to find a class like this one.
I truly miss it and commend Jody & all her instructors for doing such a great job!!

We love Red Dragon! Our kids have been going here for years now and we love the family feel. This is a great way to instill great character traits in the kids and develope their self esteem, confidence, physical fitness, and mental abilites. They offer a large number of karate classes as well as kick boxing. The kickboxing routines change every two weeks, so you're never bored and your body is always being worked in a new way, which keeps you in all-around great shape. They do fun things throughout the year for the kids and their family: popcorn day, movie day, drop and shop night and many other things giving back to the families that mean so much to them. Stop in and check it out!
