I agree that whomever left those terrible reviews has a personal issue with the store and simply cannot separate their personal feelings from reality!
I am a frustrated new guitarist who has always been extremely well taken care of no matter how stupid or ignorant my question happened to be!
I feel sorry for this miserable person who left the negative review because they are really missing out on just how much their staff can and will contribute to your musical goal (no matter what it happens to be) and they do so in a most professional and courteous manner to boot!
I, for one, am VERY happy that they are IN Business here in Orange and I have no doubt whatsoever that they will continue to be IN business for many years to come!

As the owner, I noticed several great reviews about Pepperland and appreciate the nice comments. I also saw two negative ones as well on a couple sites. As for the two negative ones, it is too bad they didn't contact us. If they had a bad experience we could of fixed any issues they had. I am afraid, the one from the guitar screwed up reviewer and the review is bogus, since to our knowledge, we never had that situation brought to our attention. If we did, and as mentioned, it would of been fixed and at no charge to the person. I believe it was an employee who was fired due to taking drugs and made up a story to discredit us. We have a repairman who is simply put, amazing! He is also very very reasonable and amazes customers with the low cost of repairs. We were also called rude. If a customer is rude to us, we politely try to turn that around. We know some people have bad days and we try to be understandable. I suppose we can't please everyone, but all we can do is keep trying. We have been open non-stop since 1982, so we must be doin something right.

Pros: Always open

Thank you Pepperland! You guys helped me to find the most obscure cd, and you've always been super cool to me and my friends whenever we've gone in there. And your prices are too high like most record stores anymore. Keep it up :)

I was told by another guitar store that my old acoustic guitar was "a beater" and was only good for parts. They offered to "take it off my hands" for 40 bucks! I kept if because it was a gift from my grandfather. I wanted new strings on it so I took it to Pepperland. I found out my old "beater" is actually a very old and valuable Martin! All it needed was a little reinforced bracing repair. For 60 bucks my guitar was completely repaired and now plays wonderfully! I've been recommending Pepperland to my friends for months now. Thanks you guys for not taking advantage of my lack of knowledge :)

Pepperland is an awesome store. The guys that work there are always nice and willing to answer your questions and help. It's a good local music store good for getting 'nic nack' things like picks ,strings drumstick etc, very cheap. and occasionally have in an awesome vintage guitar. They've been there for a while and i think they'll continue to be.

The reviews below mine are full of sour grapes. Pepperland has been in business for a very long time for a reason -- excellent customer service, and the ability of the owner to know what the public wants.

What a horrible place! Rude, Arrogant jerks from the owner down!
Can't wait for their GOING OUT OF BUSSINESS SALE. I'm sure I won't be the last customer they treat like crap! Good luck to anyone who shops there. But ask yourself why ALL SALES ARE FINAL? Speaks volums!

Horrible sales staff and repairman. They outsource repairs to a "hobbyist" which explains the "low prices because of no overhead costs" but also the low-caliber work.

Left my guitar at the shop for their "luthier" (a person who repairs stringed instruments in case you haven't heard of one Mike) to take a look at for a possible neck reset. I should have known that the sales staff were idiots, not to mention the owner, Mike, who is an ignorant fool, when they all said it was "impossible to detach the neck from the guitar." Mike is quite arrogant and condescending, but unjustly so because of the lack of activity in his brain. Making assumptions based off of no education is stupid, and just because you do something a lot, does not mean you've been doing it right, just that you might have done something wrong quite a bit.

However to my credit, it was my mistake for leaving it with them. I asked them to call me and consult with me concerning possible repairs. A few days later I receive a call stating that "the work was finished." What work? Crappy work. I unhappily went to pick up my guitar, whereupon arrival I received a lecture from the owner in an attempt to justify the violation of my guitar.

I went home to check how their "bridge adjustment" fixed my problem. They jeopardized the integrity of my instrument. There is LOW action (to the point that the strings almost touch the frets and cause a buzzing sound) at the top of the fretboard, and still HIGH action at the bottom near the sound hole.

Dear Pepperland, thanks for giving me a loose saddle (which is now completely removable), a shorter bridge, and minimal improvement to the high action at the bottom of the fretboard. The problem was not solved, and I still need to pursue a solution that may now be more complicated than before. You ruined my guitar, and you might be hearing from a lawyer very soon.

P.S. If you have a guitar that you need to throw away, take it to them for a repair. They'll treat you real nice.

This music store has a large selection of older music artists that I grew up listening to. Neil Sedaka, Paul Anka, Connie Francis, Bobby Darin...now that was music. They have an extensive selection of Beatle albums/CD;s (my all time favorites) old school, hip-hop, there's something for everybody. Current artists work is available as well.

Pepprland music is a neat little used music store that also has a good selection of rock tee shirts and other items / collectibles to choose from. The store owner is a huge Beatles fan so if you love the Beatles and like collectibles this may be the place to go to find something unique ! They have a great selection of low priced cds as well as vhs tapes and dvds as well. Lots of parking a good location right off of the main drag through town.

If you're a Beatles fan this is the store for you. They also sell a wide variety of used cd's and movies. Most are outdated but you can always find a gem somewhere throughout the store.
