DINNER  4 Star Rating - Very good

4 of us had dinner here the other night. loved the look of the restaurant, kind of funky, and very cozy. Dinner was delicious for all of us! The service was good, the waitress very nice. The owner came over to the table, and was really sweet. Would highly recommend, the prices were fair for the quality of the food.

Silverlake's Breakfast nook  4 Star Rating - Very good

This greasy spoon will cure any next day hagover. It's crowded on the weekend brunches but the wait is worth it. Service is prompt and friendly and the neighborhood atmosphere adds to the dining experience. They also have vegetarian items!!

Nice Menu. Celebrity Viewing.  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

If you can't stand greasy food, don't come here! I like the variety of their daily menu, interiors and freshly squeezed OJ. But sometimes it can be loud. Keanu Reeves & Leonardo DiCaprio were seen here. I don't go there often anymore because the food is mostly too greasy, destroy the flavor of their creative recipe & fresh ingredients & worth of price.

PROS: Daily specials. Good quality ingredients.
CONS: too greasy, pricy & long waiting line to seat

A very nice place for breakfast  4 Star Rating - Very good

Only open for a few months, it's rapidly gaining popularity with the locals. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how much care and detail was put into the decor of the remodel. Some people may feel that such explicit determination of the environment is artificial, but if that's you, I think the food will win you over in the end. I think the oversized antique wooden coffee bar is amazing. It makes me wonder how much money they put into this place before they even sold one dish!

Try the freshly made Strawberry/Orange juice. The omelettes are all very good. Definitely try the following, even if they fall outside of your normal taste:
- The quiche. There's always a quiche of the day.
- The crepes. They're light and not overly sweet.
- Have some bread, it's fresh baked.

With all those pros, there are two cons:
- There's one waiter, who shall remain nameless. Stands apart from the others in that he is somewhat absent minded, has tunnel vision as he walks through the restaurant, and rushes diners in his interactions.
- The music is a bit too loud and the selection seems to be a baby boomer's interpretation of the Bohemian esthetic.

PROS: Great light French breakfast, nice vibe, nice people
CONS: One particular waiter and the music is a little too loud

Dusty's was amazing once... 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

In fact, it was the very first place my roommate and I stumbled into when we moved to LA two years ago. Unfortunately in the past 4 months all that has changed. Whether they sold the restaurant or brought in a new chef, who knows, but everything from the menu changes to their ingredient swapping has affected the overall customer experience and NOT for the better.

Unfortunately for those who dine there, the prices have remained in the upper stratosphere, but unlike when the food quality used to match the prices, customers these days will find their meals to be sorely lacking.

Pros: Lovely decor, nice wait staff
Cons: Expensive food for less than stellar quality

Beautiful place, but so-so 4 Star Rating - Very good

I don't know why I don't love Dusty's. The atmosphere was cozy. The wait staff was friendly and did their job. The food was good. Parking was easy. Maybe my big hang up is that the food is very expensive, but nothing special. It's good, but if I am paying 18 bucks for a burger and fries, I guess I expect phenomenal. I'm glad I tried this place once, but it wasn't mind blowing enough for a round two.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, good service
Cons: it was so-so for me

I love Dustys! 5 Star Rating - World class

This is such a great restaurant! The staff is so friendly and unpretentious and the food is consistently great.
I have tried many items on the menu including the turkey burger, salmon, various soups and salads and each one of them have been delicious.
Everyone I know agrees.....Dustys is a gem.

Pros: Just about everything
Cons: can't think of anything

Best neighborhood restaurant 5 Star Rating - World class

We have been coming here semi-regularly for about the past two years and have never been disappointed. These have all been dinner visits, so I cannot comment on the breakfast. The ambiance, wine and food are perfect. We always want to try new, nice places, but always end up at Dusty's.

Pros: Atmosphere, service, delicious food and wine
Cons: None

Hipster/Waiters 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Gawker once listed restaurants in Brooklyn with different types of terrible, holier-than-thou hipster service. If they reviewed LA, Dusty's would make it on their list. The particular hipster/waiter that served us this morning could not have been more disinterested if he tried. He was so hipster-indifferent, that it was kind of charming. I couldn't order tea because the restaurant did not have hot water. Disturbing? But ok, I can deal with that. The hipster/waiter actually appeared out of the blue the first time and dead-panned "do you want to order?" No hi, or what do you want to drink. This hipster/waiter was not one for small talk. Ostensibly, we did want to order, ordered and that was the last we saw of the hipster/waiter. He never checked in to see if we liked our food - we did, it was delicious - and he never cleared our plates when we were done eating. He was way too cool to be bothered with that.. The fact that he didn't even try made it somehow ok, though, because it was not like bad service that intended to be good service. That would be worse. We knew we were done with him and had no false expectations. Oh, wait, he did reappear once when the table next to us asked for Equal. Without making eye contact, he grabbed the Equal/Sugar/Sweet-n-Low holder off our table and gave it to our neighbors. But even that was funny and gave us an opportunity to talk to our neighbor who kind of looked like Ryan Phillipe. In short, the food is good, the service is what it is but does place you in the proximity of servers who are so cool they are almost tragic and the clientle is really attractive/famous.

Pros: Food, really attractive clientele, great bread, proximity to really cool hipster/waiters
Cons: proximity to really cool hipster/waiters
