For those who are not aware, Patty's Critter Collection is now THE Critter Collection. Patty, the previous owner is no longer there. The new owners are trying to improve customer satisfaction, and lower prices!

I recently bought a puppy from Patty's, and was told he had loose stool do to the rich dog food they gave him, that is not the case. The puppy I bought has chronic uncontrollable diarrhea, and is now on his second set of anitbiotics, we went to talk to Patty (the owner) she was very rude and told us to take her to court. Supposedly there pets are healthy guaranteed and the only 5 star pets in the high desert, whatever, I will go to the pound next time and take my chances there, at least they will take the pet back if it is sick.

When ever I go into the shop it is always hot and if I am hot I know the animals are hot. When I go to to puppy section they are always panting and just lieing there. Some of the employees are very snobby. They should not come to work with out a smile on there face. There prices are very high. I could get those puppies from a good breeder for less.I THINK THEY SHOULD GET AN AIR CONDITONER AND SOME KNEW EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a ball python fron the owner last month and i asked for advice on how to care for it and she was very rude in speaking to me.she acted like i should know everything already and i felt paying customers should be treated with more respect than that.especially if they have legitimate questions about a pet purchase.

I like this shop. I feel the owner is harsh in her speaking to customers but all in all I trust their advice and the shop is clean and organzied. Seems most that work there are logically on any questions you might have. Their prices can be alittle high on their animals. We purchase crickets every week and buy a cricket card which saves money and seems to be the cheapest around.

PROS: Clean, organized, well stocked
CONS: owners interaction with customers, pricey

While I will say that they have a wide variety of supplies and pets, I feel they charge a bit too much. Especially, on the animals. If you are looking for a dog you should go to a rescue or a local breeder (for purebreds). You will save several hundred dollars. Reptiles are also overpriced. The hours of the store are short so if you work you might be hard pressed to visit except on weekends.

Overall, with little competition they fill a need and you will be able to find what you are looking for.
