I think they are more into the money than your pets... i have been there twice in 1 month... had to pay for a 2nd exam on top of things i thought they already ran tests for the first time i was there... they just keep guessing on the diagnoses telling me to try new things and gave me pills for my cat and it almost killed him(the amount was to high), got very sick and moody... and my cat is still peeing in the house $350 later.... and they push things down your throat and tell you you should get procedures done that you werent even there for, the doctor would talk behind the door to the nurse pretty much telling her to convince me to get everything done when i said i couldnt afford it.... they just want money and money only they dont care about your pets...NEVER WILL I GO HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you love your dog, I would not suggest boarding them at the Greenback Pet Resort. When we dropped our our 3 shih-tzu's here for two nights they all had baths before they arrived and when we picked them up they were completely covered in urine, staining their fur yellow, and had hundreds of stickers and burs stuck to them. The urine and stickers covered them from head to toe and we had to shave them all due to the mess. When we shaved them we found their bellies and legs were red and irritated from the urine they must have been sitting in while they were there. Also, we gave the staff very specific feeding instructions which they completely ignored. We explained our animals had allergies to certain foods, and instructed them to only feed them the food we provided otherwise they would have bad skin reactions and ear infections. They went ahead and fed them unauthorized food without evern giving us a courtesy call to verify it was ok, giving our dogs, not only the allergic reactions, but diarrhea for 3 days after. I expect my dogs to be a little dirty when I leave them for boarding, but there is NO excuse for our animals to be returned in this type of condition, especially since they were clean and brushed when they were dropped off. I can't understand how they could think this was acceptable and makes me wonder how many other dogs are being abused in this manner.

Ya, it is easy to get in to VCA Greenback 'cause all they want is your MONEY.
Our first experience was a misdiagnosis due to their outdated equipment according to their Doctor. We went to another emergency hospital which diagnosed the problem but couldn't perform the surgery so we returned and PAID for the operation. The puppy continued to have some problems, returned to VCA Greenback.
Again, the service was questionable and we felt overpriced. Then, they announced when I asked for the "special food" and the price had increased and announced that more money was owed for a prescription that I had NOT ordered and made it clear to the Vet that I didn't believe in just giving "pills" to my pets for the sake of pills.
I have NEVER been allowed to go back see the rest of their facilities or where they perform procedures on my animals. Only the front examine room is where I am left and they take my frightened animal off on their own. My pets are used to being with me and I feel I should be allowed to stay with them to calm them down and take away some of their fear.

My dog "Makita" passed away suddenly last Monday. While I use another vet for medical services they were closed at that time and i needed to have here cremated. I called this Hospital and they were very helpful, even were expecting our arrival. I was relieved to have the Vet look at her to tell us what possibly could have happened to her, after a brief exam he explained it was probably a tumor that had ruptured and that she went quickly with little suffering. I was so pleased with the compassion the staff offered. They even allowed her to be privately cremated with my "Kings" blanket. Thank you all for your compassion.

My cat refused to eat and had diarrhea so after reading good reviews here I took him to this hospital.
I gave them a phone call first asking to make an appointment but they told me that I should come without an appointment because it was an emergency case.
Ok, I came and they charged me for the emergency visit ($35 more over regulay price) although I was the only visitor in the hospital...
Then they took my cat away from me for the examination and didn't let me in, I felt very uncomfortable being unable to watch what they were doing to him...
In about ten minutes they took me into the room where I was supposed to wait for a doctor.
Finally the doctor came with the estimates.
She suggested to x-ray my cat (for diarrhea!) and do bloodwork and only then prescribe him medication that alone cost about $400 (for diarrhea!). Total estimates were about $1000.
I thought it was rediculous and I am not that stupid not to notice that they care only about money...
So I picked up my cat, paid $90 for the "emergency" visit and headed to the hospital I usually visit with my pets...

    Pros: open 24 hours
Cons: crazy prices, owners are not allowed inside with their pets

I did a road trip a few years back with my dog and was able to get different pet accessories for travel. What I also like about this place is that they provide you with a list of vacation places that you can take your pet. This location also does washing and grooming. They provide services to a variety of different pets.

If your pet is more important than family members, then this is the place to go. They treat you right and truly care for your pets, I mean your TRUE family.

This place does a great job in grooming your dog. They give special care and attention to your pet as soon as you walk into the store. The store is clean and attractive. They train your dog to obey on different commands. The place is a good size. They have everything you need for your pet. The staff is ready to help you with any questions that you may have. The store is a good size and there is plenty of parking.

Greenback Veterinary Hospital is the place to remember when your pet is involved in an emergency. They are a 24-hour facility, so they are always available to care for your pet or to answer questions. I have had to take my two dogs to this office on a few separate occasions. The staff has been very knowledgeable, caring, kind, and understanding. They have always explained everything thoroughly and answered any questions I might have had. Because they are a 24-hour facility and due to the care they provide, some of the charges for routine care may be a little higher than other vets. The staff has always advised me of this fact and let me choose which procedures to leave to my regular vet.

    PROS: 24-hour facility, caring staff
    CONS: higher prices
