I would come here constantly when I went through the haight. It does get busy on the weekends but so does Haight Street too. It has some fabulous lattes and mochas. Great for a cool day in San Francisco which is what tends to be the case.
Plus there are some great places to people watch and as anyone who's been in San francisco can attest to is that Haight street has some of the most interesting people around.

Great burgers. But my families favorite is the french dip for lunch. We love the breakfast always leave full and happy. We all wish the owners would open a place closer to Millbrae.

The Grind is an interesting little family owned coffee shop on the corner of Haight and Scott in the city. They offer coffees, pasteries, breakfast, and lunch. The lady behind the counter seemed nice enough. We had coffee and a lemon bar. She told me that the lemon bar was homemade. It was really good. But the coffee was on the weak side. Overall, it was a nice place. The service was friendly. I would visit again just to get my hands on that lemon bar. But I would not buy the weak coffee.
