I got a french manicure there and I agree that it took much longer than what I thought it would take. And the girl who did my nails did seem quite young and inexperienced. However, she did a really careful job with my nails and fixed even the tiniest imperfections - i think that's why it took so long. I didn't have any problems with my cuticles hurting or anything. When you patronize places that offer such low prices and are staffed primarily of non-english speakers, you can't possibly expect them to all have cosmetology licenses. It's the trade off you just have to make. If you want qualified professionals and superior service, expect to pay more than $17 for a spa pedi/mani.

I got a french manicure, while my sister got a pedicure. The lady laughed at my sister's toes-- the staff's not very pleasant. To make matters worse, both of our cuticles hurt! I had never had a manicure that hurt before! The nail polish they used on my french manicure was old and thick, and it had bubbles in it. Save yourself some disappointment and go somewhere else.
PROS:
CONS: bad quality, unprofessional, cuticles hurt
