This restaurant is awesome. The service people are very accomodating and the food is excellent. One weekends they have either a live band or a DJ so you can dance into the early hours. This is my new place to go for dinner/dancing and the average age group is 30's and up.

I read the reviews on line and assumed this would be a good bet for a first date. The experience certainly made an impression. I had a beer at the bar because I was early. When the bartender could tear herself away from talking with other employees she brought my beverage, I was never offered a glass, profered a coaster, of even the perfunctory "how is everything?" When my dinner companion arrived we were seated in the last booth (We had reservations) where we got a to close for comfort view of the band setting up. We had no fewer than three servers. All at best disnterested,, or more often than not no where to be found. After ordering it took no less than 23 minutes to get my heaping portion of mushy noodles in ketchup. I'm no snob and spent over 12 years in the service industry. I lived on my tips, On a scale of 1 to 10, ten being the best, Fresco II rates a 1 for service, a 1 for food that would be better religated to the frozen food section at the local Walmart, and a 1 for the overall experience. When a single employee is less than first rate, that is understandable. Everyone has a bad day. When the entire staff presents themselves that way it's a culture. Poor service and horrible food do not a memorible evening make. If you find yourself near this establishment, do yourself a favor. RUN as quickly as you can. There is a Pizza Hut right around the corner. Same quality food, better, more friendly service, and a third of the price.

Fresco II has great food and is a great setting for a night out. Sometimes there is live music as well. Try the bowtie pasta, you won't be disappointed!

For a LONG time Lancaster has needed a place like this. AWESOME food, OUTSTANDING happy service, and good live music. I was glad to see outside dining, although the weather had changed and it was too cold to sit there. Pricy but large servings. Did not get dessert. Artichoke was very good. Angel hair pasta was fresh and tasty for our vegetarian palates. Unfortunately,

I'd recommend Fresco II to anyone. My experiences have mostly been great. One time the service was really bad, but other times, I cannot complain.
The food is great--they give you a lot of food for the price. The dishes are a little on the high side, so it might not be somewhere you'd want to go all the time. The ambiance is great--very romantic.
They have a great beer selection--not just your American lagers.
The bread that comes before the meal is delicious with the garlicky dipping sauce... it is to die for!

Great food --- which is hard to find in the AV. Nice place to spend a Friday night. Martini's are the best. Freindly people, and the service is the best.

Upon moving to Lancaster in January 07, my Husband and I have had 1 disappointment after another with the local restaurants. We attempted to go to Fresco II in June 07 (without reservations) and the wait was going to be an hour or so....so, we left. We didn't try again until last week. Oh my, was it ever worth the wait? Great table, great service and to top it off, the band (1 man) was playing our song, Summer Wind, as the Server brought our drinks. They make and excellent dirty martini and have a great wine selection. The wine glasses were the long stem bubble glasses. I ordered a Cajun Penne and my Husband was pleased to see the combination of Meatballs and Sausage with Spaghetti. The food was really fresh and tasty, and we had lots left over for the next day. Would I recommend Fresco II? Oh yes, in fact, I'm calling them right now to make reservations for our next date night.

If you want an exceptional dining experience, check out Fresco II.

This is a great, quaint little spot that offers a fine, striking menu of Mediterranean flavors. Although there are a few flaws such as being diminutive in location, the service a little slow and also a bit pricey, the atmosphere is quite welcoming and cordial. The dishes are served in big proportions and lovely to share with a friend. I highly recommend the Salmon Fresco which is, by far, the most splendid and flavorful dish I have ever eaten in this Valley. The salmon is well-seasoned, adorned with artichoke and sun-dried tomatoes with homemade mashed potatoes and a serving of fresh cooked vegetables on the side. Every savory bite is a delightful, flavor fest on your palate! Truth be told, there are not many restaurants in this Valley I favor but Fresco II is an exception. In addition, there are not many Mediterranean/Italian restaurants that serve cannoli which Fresco II offers. It is a classic Sicilian pastry which is a crispy, tube-shaped wafer filled with sweetened ricotta and aromatized with chocolate chips and powdered sugar. Also, the ice cream is deliciously homemade ?? a lovely addition to a fine meal. Overall, Fresco II is a superb and charming place to dine with a significant other or as a group.

You would never guess that hiding in that strip mall on L and 20th, yes, the one with the big Ralph's and the realtor and tanning salon is a GEM of a resto in Lancaster.

Too many chains in Lancaster, yes siree. So go to Fresco-- fresh-- and see what REAL food is like. They have marvelous heaping plates of pasta cooked perfectly al dente doused in homemade sauces. They have glistening salads in Italian and Greek traditions, that are huge and lovely to share with a friend.

The service is impeccable-- no, really! The staff is knowledgable at pairing wines with oyur meal. I never left room for dessert but I am sure it will not disappoint.

Do yourself a favor and check out this fabulous place-- and come out in support for the small business owner!!!

PROS: everything
CONS: nothing

This place has a European feel to it... Service is very slow and the quality of service is lacking. Make sure you have lots of time to linger. Food is average to above average. Nice fresh baked bread served with a garlic dipping sauce that is excellent. A musician some evenings who makes a nice evening for entertainment and dinner music --where can you get that in the AV? Romantic and cheery at the same time. The servers are all very pleasant, just the food server's need some refining and training. Overpriced--the quality does not justify the prices.. They ought to include a small dinner salad in the price and step-up on their serving skills and this just might end up being the best place in the AV.

Pros: It's one of a kind/not a chain restauraunt.

Cons: Over-priced.... Nice choice of entree's.

I was not overly impressed by Fresco II. My husband and I took our two kids there for dinner after reading the first review. When we walked in I asked the man that came to the front desk if we could be seated outdoors and he said "Yes" but then proceeded to seat us at an indoor table...? Okay, so we sit down and boosters are promptly brought for the kids as we look over the menus. Extensive wine selection and menu selection, but no kids selection. However when our waitress came over I asked if there were any items for kids...so we ordered chicken fingers and she informed me that I had the wrong menu. So I took the waitresses recommendation of Chicken Marsala and my husband ordered the cheese ravioli and meatball. Chicken fingers came out promptly for the kids, which was nice. Typical chiken finger and fat fries topped with parsley. Soon followed the two other entrees. My Chicken Marsala...TONS of pasta topped with an average size chicken breast. The dish tasted okay, nothing special (I make juicier chicken breasts at home) and a little bland. Cheese Ravioli...my husband said was pretty good (I only tasted the marinara, which was pretty good), but was full before he could eat the meatball. The singer during dinner was good, although the sound was way too loud (I couldn't even talk to my husband across the table). After paying the bill I felt like I had been ripped off, and I have payed alot more for dinner bills. Every entree on the dinner menu is at least $20 (even pasta dishes and pizzas) and I didn't feel like the quality of the food/atmosphere/service merited the price.
