Pacific Auto is the BEST and ONLY auto repair shop to go to. Let me tell you what happened.
1)Our car was bucking terribly and had no power. There error code PO708, which means the transmission sensor needed replacement. But we didn??t know that at the time. So we went to Precision Tune, who told us to tune up the car. Their diagnosis they owed us was not offered because the tune up had to come first. Obviously the tune up didn??t help at all. Out 200 bucks!
2)We went back to Precision after the tune up and asked them if the Co2 sensor might be bad, because we read about it on the web. They replaced that. Another 200 bucks gone. We figured it had to be the trans, so we;ll go to the best trans shop ?? no problem.
3)So we went to Mission Viejo Transmission, which had great reviews. They told us to replace the Catalytic Converter for $650.00. It??s normally 500 - 600 bucks. The Cat was not bad at all. You could feel the exhaust coming out the back w/o much restriction. However, they didn??t charge us. So that was appreciated. Thank God we didn??t waste money on the catalytic converter.
4)Finally my wife??s girlfriend just happened to know what the problem was. We took it to Kevin at Pacific Auto. He kept it for two days and took his time to figure it out. He agree it was the trans sensor and also the MAF sensor. He told us $185 for the trans sensor= but after he cleaned the MAF sensor he kept the price at $185! Can you believe that? No one does that anymore.
Anyway, why my wife and her girlfriend know more than 2 major auto shops I??ll never know? But it??s a crime, and expensive, and there were un researched suggestions that could have even more that we already wasted. And the extra time wasted was tremendous!
SAVE MONEY and TIME and bring you auto problem to Pacific Auto Repair. You??ll be so thankful, like us. Kevin took his time and figured out the problem. He charged us less than we expected. That never ever happens. The car??s running well at last. This shop is amazing, absolutely amazing!

I took my SAAB 9-3 to Pacific Automotive with a blown head gasket. Parts for the SAAB are very hard to get and the engine is difficult to work with.

I was impressed with the fact that Kevin (service manager) and his staff took their time to get the job done right. They even called in a SAAB specialist for consultation at no additional charge to me.

The next day, Kevin called me to see how the car was running..........a nice touch in customer service.

Thanks Guys!

I am new to town and did not know where to take my car when my power steering belt broke. AAA towed me to Pacific Automotive. The people there were very friendly and explained exactly what was wrong with my car (broken clutch on the air

I took my Chrysler Sebring into Pacific Automotive. I found them through word of mouth. Actually 3 friends take there car there. Anyways I had a horrible transmission noise (clunking) and was told I needed a transmission overhaul by another shop. I took it to Pacific to get a second opinion and was prepared to have the transmission rebuilt if the price was right. GET THIS !!! Rren called me telling me all I needed was a transmission mount. It cost me a couple hundred dollars and I was finished (No more Noise). This was an unbelievable experience.. I would recommend Pacific to everybody. They took the time to Diagnose the problem right and gained a customer and all the people I can tell.

Pacific Automotive is absolutely horrible. I will be reporting them to AAA who may want to think twice about approving this shop. I brought my 2002 Ford Escape in for a thudding noise I was hearing when turning. After keeping my car all day, I was told I needed a drivers side axle and it would cost $220+. I agreed to repairs. When at 4:30 pm I still had not received a call telling me my car was ready, I called the shop and no one answered. I continued to try calling until 7 pm with no answer. Apparently they had all gone home for the day and no one called me with the status of my car. The next morning when I called them again, I was told the repairs were not complete and would not be ready until around 1 pm. I asked why no one inquired to me about keeping my car overnight and did not receive a reply. At 1pm the next day, I had not received a call regarding the status of my car so again I had to call them. I was told it was ready and I could come and get it. I jogged the 2.5 miles to the shop and was there about 40 minutes after I was told the car was ready. When I arrived, the car was still on the lift and the tires were off. I had to wait another hour for them to finish the car. Then as I drove it off the lot, I noticed I was still hearing the noise that I brought it in for. I was told that it was now the axle on the passenger's side that had to be replaced and to bring it back. At the time, I assumed that the axle they supposedly replaced also needed repairs and did not question their diagnosis. I returned today (made an appt. on Monday) for the other axle to be replaced. I dropped the car off at 8:30 am. At 3 pm, I had not received any calls from the shop so again, I had to call them to inquire about the status. I was told nothing had been done all day because now they weren't sure if it really was the axle or not. The service manager said he wanted to have his "buddy" look at it now because he believes I need a whole new transmission. Wrong!!! I just had the transmission serviced at another facility and it's in very good condition and does not need replacing. I immediately went to PA to pick up my car which had been there all day with nothing done. When I arrived, I told the service manager that I was extremely disappointed not only in their inability to diagnose my problem properly, but that I was charged for a repair that wasn't need 3 weeks earlier. His response to that was not that he didn't agree but that he understood which I take to mean that they did in fact charge me for a repair that was not needed. I am reporting them to the better business bureau and filed a dispute with my credit card company to recoup the money they charged me. I am absolutely disgusted and would not recommend this shop to anyone.

A friend told me about Pacific Automotive, after I had a bad experience with another local shop. They saved me over $200.00 from the first shop I went to which was recommending unnecessary repairs. Pacific Automotive was honest, and the manager explained the repairs I REALLY needed thoroughly. My car is running great now! Excellent shop. I highly recommend them!

I found P.A. to be very friendly and efficient. They explained the repairs I needed and gave me options as to which repairs were most urgently needed, and which I could put off for now. I felt very comfortable with the manager, and my car is now running great! They even gave me a AAA discount!

Only AAA shop in Aliso Viejo, work nearby and commute to work, needed major brake service and tune but do not have time on weekends to get work done always worried about getting car back for work on monday. Anyway brought vehicle in on monday they shuttled me back to work and picked me up when car was ready and they give 10% for Auto Club Members. They have that small town feeling about them. Thanks Rren and Ryan

I went to Pacific Automotive through AAA's recommendation. They were highly professional and I felt I could trust them. My starter basically blew up and a competitor nearby suggested I purchase a whole new starter, alternator, and battery. I went into Pacific and they suggested that was not the case. I ended up saving half of what I would've paid and they finished the job in a very timely manner. Plus, you get a 12 mo. or 12,000 mile guarantee on their parts and labor. The only thing I was mildly upset about was that they didn't honor a AAA 10% member discount since they included the diagnostic test for "free." But otherwirse, I feel confident in recommending Pacific Auto...

needed new brakes
they accomodated for time but didn't finish, we paid for services but when we brought it to another automotive center, they noticed the unfinished job and refused to work on it till we went back to Pacific Automotive to complete the rest of the job..

PROS: will accomodate your payment
CONS: may not finish the job

So a friend put brakes on my car for me and he didn't do a very good job. I took it to Pacific Automotive to fix what my friend had done. When he took a look, he said that I need brakes and rotors. The brakes were about a month old, so maybe they did get warped. I'm not real sure. When I got the car back, they felt the same, kinda pulsed and felt warped. Finally, I took the car back, 2400 miles after I got the brakes and he said that I need new brakes. They were still under warranty and he replaced them for free. They were under warranty, so I knew he wasn't going to charge. So when I got the car back, the second time, it wasn't running well at all. There was a strange noise coming from the right side and it vibrated horribly. I took it back and he took a look at it. Said he couldn't see anything, but I'd have to come back another day for him to totally look at it. He said that what he could see and hear, the CV Boot had to be replaced. I about blew up at him right there. I didn't believe him one bit. I took the car to another place and they fixed the problem. Get this...it wasn't the CV Boot. It was a missing lug nut on my right tire and two loose lug nuts. How did that happen? Sure as h*ll wasn't me. It was Pacific Automotive. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I will do the best I can and let everybody know to avoid this place.

PROS: None
CONS: Horrible Service standards

I've taken my car here for basic oil changes and stuff because they have good coupons and I've always gotten my work done quickly. I've never had any major jobs done but the small stuff has been good and fast. Keep an eye out for the coupons. They always have some deal going on.

These guys do a great job. We haven't had anything major worked on here, but they always get the "little things" like oil changes done right the first time.

They have a shuttle, and they take appointments. The hours are great- open all day on Saturday- and the staff is friendly and courteous.

they do good work, but the ownership/associates are always changing. they do give a nice "cash" discount. i would say that this is just an average car place.
