Pets & More Llc

In this day in age, it's great to see that a neighborhood/non-chain store can still thrive by providing excellent service. Pets and More fits the bill and will even order the items you need. Try asking for that at PetSmart or Petco! They also throw kids birthday parties for a reasonable price and seem to love educating people about pets, pet care. etc.

I went to the store on a suggestion from a friend regarding healthy pet food. It's amazing that a store this size (maybe 4000sq.ft.) can have a better selection than a Petco, Petsmart and Petfood Express. While I was also told if they don't have it they can usually order it (try that at one of the big guys), the best part of the store is it's staff. They are by far the most knowledgeable pet store staff I've met. I've been there a few times know and I'm always impressed with the information they pass on (even if it means NOT selling a pet). The owner (I think it's Howard)really knows his stuff and his employees are great too.

Since the initial reviews of this shop were written (back in '05), this store has really upped its emphasis on reptiles and reptile supplies. They offer a place in the back for children's parties too, and can bring an assortment of animals to schools and such.
They carry a wide assortment of bagged food as well as several harder to find varieties of frozen food, including raw diets for dogs and cats. They also carry plenty of items for your reptiles, including mice, mealworms and so forth. Check out the giant tortoises too.
The only downside-a bit stuffy and smelly from all the animals, though the owners seem to be making every effort to keep things clean.The physical building is older, which may make the place seem a bit dirtier than it is-worn linoleum etc. Helpful staff are willing to give good advice even if you didn't buy your pet there.Competativly priced;will special order items for you.

We obtained a king snake on our own and Pets and More was great about setting us up with the minimal needs, advice on how to have our new snake get used to his (?) surroundings and offered great hints in his upcoming care. Very supportive and willing to help with a pet not from their breeding.

this place has very good inventory for pets and pet supplies. there rates are very competitive and they have good inventory of stuff needed for pets. great pet supplies shop and you can get stuff you need for your pets at good prices. great staff to help you out with your needs.

PROS: good place with good stuff
CONS: to stuffy at times

They were really great about letting me bring in my dogs. I have two chihuahuas and they barked a bit when we first went in but settled down after awhile, but luckily, the workers didn't mind. They even gave me a couple of treats to offer my dogs. They have a great selection of stuff for dogs, all at pretty decent prices.

Pets & More is a great little shop to buy all you dog's and cat's needs, from toys, to food, to beds. This is basically a pet store that specializes and focuses on dogs and cats. The staff is not very knowledgeable, but I guess thats because they are just sales associates and not vets or groomers. This store sells mostly everything for cheap and I love it. I recommend going here if you have either a dog or cat, p.s. you can bring your pet in just like petsmart.

I love this place! They have a great staff that is always willing to help you out. Bring in your dog and they will gush over your cutie. They are very knowlegeable about the verious types of food for your dog (even raw) and the differences between them. If your dog has an allergy, pets and more will find a food that will help your dog in the future. There is a large selection of basic doggie needs. Don't go here if you're looking for a nice bag for your chihuahua to carry in or clothes for your pooch. There is a large selection of crates, beds, toys (!!) and of course the food.

PROS: Very knowlegable staff, excellent selection of foods even raw
CONS: a bit small so there isn't much selection on the bedding and toys
