Found this Japanese Restaurant and really liked the sushi when the owner was working the sushi bar. Things changed and so did the sushi. Rolls got smaller and didn't seem as fresh.

Bento boxes are a good choice and the tempura is good as well. They cannot accomodate to go orders if you want dipping sauces or soup to go. You must bring your own containers.

Small restaurant. Sometimes can find a seat quickly and sometimes not. Service is not the quickest. They have good Udon but they don't have any containers for to go for soups. So if you are interested in Udon to go, must bring your own container. Kids can eat their comfortably. Bento's are good and sometimes they have good bento combo specials.

I've only visited Shin for dinner. Sometimes we are seated right away, and sometimes we have a little wait. (I hear it's very crowded during lunch.)

I usually eat the katsu or the teriyaki, both of which I've always enjoyed. The service is so-so--you can be ignored for long periods of time.

My girlfriend first told me about this restaurant, and anytime we feel like going out for Sushi we go here. The location is close, the food is delicious, the green tea ice cream is to die for, and we always leave full.

The only thing that stops us most times is it's price. Were both college students, and don't always have much money to spend on food. On average, we spend about $35 on a 2 full meals and ice cream, but it's always worth it.

I'm a vegetarian, and they always make me sushi w/o meat, and vegetable tempura. I was shy at first but the staff was very very friendly and helpful. I always order avocado and cucumber sushi - it's excellent!

I highly recommend coming here! Don't forget to try the green tea ice cream!

Pros: Green Tea Ice Cream, Parking, Service

Cons: Price (Not Too Bad)

Shin is a local family owned sushi place located in the old Sunrise Plaza on Blossom Hill Road. Shin Sushi has moved locations once, when the huge Sunrise Plaza did a renovation. This is a small restaurant, signs are all hand printed, booths are very close together, but the Bento boxes are delicious and the sushi always fresh. The portions here tend to be huge, I ordered tempura and got a large basket filled with different types of squash and other veggies.

They aren't likely to subsititue their combo boxes and plates but their unique sushi rolls and light and cripsy tempura make up for that.

PROS: Lots of parking, fresh sushi
CONS: Their hours are peculiar

My family and I really liked the food here and the service was excellent.
They even brought out some miso with lots of tofu for our toddler. The place is definitely kid friendly.

I think that the quality and price go hand in hand - price is average and sushi is a little above average. The teriyaki ribs are also really good.

Looks like the other 2 reviews here were written by the same person who probably had a bad experience and decided to express their opinion more than once.

Please take my advice, don't waste your time here unless its really across the street from your home and you can't drive. There are MANY MANY better places than this one. this place sucks. bad service, bad manners, bad everything

Know whats really funny is that if you're anything but asian, they'll treat you better. Thats really weird. Food isn't all great. I've had much much better ones. Sushi Maru is really good. This one is nothing compared to others. Small place, mediocore food. Only came here because it was close. Only during lunch is the price pretty fair.
