In early 2008, we contracted with Pertria to manage our rental property in Sunnyvale. Edward Disho has handled our property and been our contact with Pertria.

Because I have dealt with such difficult and uncaring people in so many areas of business and personal service, I cannot let Edward's conscientious, attentive, courteous, and effective management of our property go unrecognized. From little things, like when we needed to replace the microwave range in the unit, to complicated things, like advice about rental prices when we were at the end of the first lease agreement, Edward has always been so professional and easy to work with that I always feel confident about the decisions that we have to make about the property. He is never pushy or brusque. If we ask a question, he answers. If he doesn't know the answer, he finds out and calls us back. If we want to do something a certain way, he does it.

He says "I am just doing what I would expect someone to do if I had my investment managed." Isn't that all that we want from people who help us? And isn't it rare that we get it anymore?

Because of Edward, I would not leave Pertria for another company and I have praised and recommended Pertria to anyone who asks about our property management company.

We had the opportunity to work with Paul Prouty from Pertria and we had an awesome experience!

We called several realtors to inquire about houses that we had seen in the newsapaper; Paul was the only one to call us back. The house we had asked about was sold already but Paul immediately set up an appointment with us to talk about what we were specifically looking for.

Since we were on a budget but had specific requirements the search was not an easy one. Paul never tried to persuade us to buy a house, he was never "pushy". He was always fast to respond to our questions via email or phone and he was always willing to go out with us on short notice to check out new houses that had hit the market.

Edward Disho was a great professional person, and he arranged me to visit the properties twice and help me measure all rooms' dimensions. Before and after we moved in, he arranged all the repair and replacement works within 1 day after I requested and followed me up immediately. On a Saturady, I called his office when I noticed that the garage door could not be opened with the remote control and didn't expect that I would get anybody, but his people called me back on the same day for the next-day maintance schedule.

I like my current home and neighbourhood. I highly recommend Pertria and Edward's service.

The only concern for me is that Pertria's office locates a little far away from my office :)

So I move in this old and dirty apartment. My deposit is a month rent fee, more than 1000$. There are some drawbacks as following:dirty(office is so far),noise,old. When something needs repair, it's always so slow. The light in the kitchen always doesn't repair untill I left. When I left,Bobby just tell me the carpet needs cleaning. But after three weeks when I left, the bad manager bobby send me a invoice. He grab all my depoist $1100. He used my depoist to paint all the apartment(the painting worker used two days to paint, $50/hour).And 300$ cleaning fee. He told me they pay a part fee for me. When I argue with him using rent law,he have no explains. This is my terrible experience with Bobby and pertria. Please be careful for being cheated.

Pertria is a smaller firm I came across when I was looking for a place for myself I in Mountain View. They had a simple and informative ad on craigslist and I decided to give them a call. I spoke with a gal named Joyce and she said Edward would call me after the weekend as she handled his property calls on the weekends. Typically in these scenarios based on my past experiences you never get a call and you just move on to the next property and hope someones on the phone or will call you back. I received a call from this gentleman on Monday morning. My first impression was he knew alot about the property and was eager to schedule a time to show the property to my finacee and I. He was very easy to communicate with and seemed pleasant but somewhat aggressive to show us the property, which we didnt mind as many managers I had called either didnt return the call or when they call seemed very indifferent, not Edward. When we saw the place, we werent sure about it right away because it was a downstairs unit and my fiancee wanted an upstairs place, but we ended up leasing the place given the excellent location. Edward was very professional and we didnt expect such a thorough leasing process, but he assured us we sign off in less than 45 minutes. We had a great experience with him and so far everything has been great. Pertria has been quick in responding to a recent plumbing back up, they sent a plumber and the job was done the same day. I am typically a hard person to satisfy in many aspects and Pertria has been exceptional in their dealings with us.

After driving for 14 hours (in one day), it was really nice coming home to find it had been fixed. A few days before moving in, I discovered that one of the toilets was loose and leaked a little water when rocked back and forth. I was leaving town the next morning to go pack up my home and drive back from out of state. I contacted Edward and he arranged to have someone come fix it while I was gone. After driving for 14 hours (in one day), it was really nice coming home to find it had been fixed. I wanted to write this review because most people only write reviews when they are unhappy and not when everything is running smoothly. I strongly recommend Pertria and definitely recommend working with Edward Disho!

We've lived in a Pertria managed property for 2 years now. Our agent, Edward, is the worst. I should have known from the first day. We had set up an appointment for our apartment showing & he completely flaked! The second time he was late. But we were desperate for a place & we signed. After living there for a year, they raised our rent which is to be expected after a lease is up. But they raised it by $250/month...all at once! The apartment has no A/C, no dishwasher, no balcony or yard & now they are trying to raise the rent again! After only 6 months since the last increase! They say we are below market, but there are plenty of other places within the same area going for $25 less/mo. (not much $, but who knows what the rent increase would be this time!) which have balconys, dishwashers, etc. At one point we were sent a letter stating we would be getting new double pane windows (our energy costs are through the roof as the windows are old and don't hold in the heat). A year & a half after that letter, I'm still waiting. Once he actually lectured me about getting rent in to him saying we were consistantly late (we were late twice; once when we were out of the country and extended our trip - our fault, but forgivable? - & another time for financial reasons. We paid the $200 late fees both times within 2 wks). It turned out later that Pertria had made the mistake & we were not late (as I tried to tell him) & no apology was ever offered. He was completely out of line & RUDE. I've heard stories from other tenants with similar complaints specifically about Edward (I'm almost fearful to tell their stories because he seems somewhat vindictive & I don't want to cause problems for them). In all fairness though, his boss is great. Edward never returns phone calls so you usually have to go around him to get to someone else. Everyone else I've come into contact with at Pertria has been great. We've never been so happy to move out of a place specifically because of the manager!

Travis Bertelsen is very professional, he negotiated an amazing price on my new home. I couldn't be happier. The best part was that I didn't have to do much of anything. Travis even shopped lenders for me and beat the rate I had found on my own. He pre-toured all properties before me to eliminate bad ones. I went out twice with him and found my perfect home. He knew the area very well and even showed me a few more homes after I decided on mine which made me feel very confident that I had picked the best home. Then, before I even moved in, his Pertria vendors painted, carpeted, and installed hardwood flooring, in 5 days!!! The place was perfect for my move in. I can't believe how effortless the transaction went, I recommend him to everyone. His company Pertria is incredible and even rented my condo for more than I could ever imagine. Pertria even painted and cleaned the carpets in the condo prior to renting so that I got even more money.
