It's my second time around with the Walker Lunds and they 'always surpass any expectations I have going in. It was much more convenient this time because they actually came out to my place this time to take measurements. Later they sent to me drawings of my kitchen along with the cost. Their design ideas and vision are top notch and a much added bonus without any additional costs for the extra service.

Walker Lund makes it easy for you. The quality is there, You can trust these people, the prices are great, and they offer very quick service. I will use them again and I highly recommend them anyone.

I was recently referred by a Friend and purchased cabinets for my kitchen at Walker and Lund Cabinets in Oakland and had an excellent experience. I found them to be very personable, professional, knowledgeable and detail oriented. They are also competitively priced. This is my third kitchen remodel and I have been to some of the other discounted cabinet companies and abhor the service, lack of know how and timeliness for the end product. These ladies have a good product, they are trustworthy and upfront, and delivered earlier than the projected 2 weeks which made both myself and my contractor very happy. I bought the Cherry cabinets and they look great. My kitchen looks custom. We caused a little damage to some of the sides of the cabinets upon installation and were able to order a plywood piece to cover it up. That took a about 4 days, but well worth the wait. Their prices are very reasonable. All in all I paid about $100 dollars more than my least expensive quote, but got piece of mind that all was going to run smoothly and I feel I received better cabinets. I reveived another quote which was $2200 more expensive. My first impressions of this place made me reluctant. This place looks like a boutique type place where you would spend a fortune, but upon meeting with them they I found that they are on the same page as far as saving money goes. The other thing that I Initially thought odd about this place is that I had to make an appointment with them, but after spending an hour there reviewing my plans I can see why. It is a necessary evil because as many times as i have done these projects I realize that I had overlooked several details that could have reulted in disaster. To boot I cant imagine having to wait for the person ahead of me. I highly recommend Walker Lund if your looking for great cabinets in a limited selection of the the latest styles and you really cant beat the price or their expertise. -J

I purchased 3 Shaker Maple cabinets for laundry room 1.5 years ago, and continue to be impressed by the cabinet quality and Walker Lunds support at the time. Am considering redoing my kitchen with the same. Good price and good people to deal with - recommended. Must use phone messages to talk to them and store hours by appt only, otherwise would have received 5 stars.

Last Fall I purchased kitchen cabinets from Walker Lund cabinets and had a miserable experience, the worst experience I have had buying anything. The business is operated by Yvon and Amy. The quality of the cabinets was poor and the service was as bad. I got the feeling that I was a customer before a paid them and I became a nuisance after they got my money. My installers said that the base cabinets were warped and out of square. One of the cabinets was missing a door because it had cracked on delivery so they said they would get me a replacement. The replacement they got was the wrong size but they didn't realize it so it me took three trips to get the right door. They never offered to deliver the door themselves despite it being a half hour drive for me. One would expect that business ethics would have dictated that they deliver the correct door. The biggest problem was that the exposed side of the pantry was so disfigured that it could not be used as is. Their solution was to give me a piece of veneer to glue over it. The veneer did not have the same hard finish as the rest of the pantry and it was off color so I asked them for another pantry. Yvon said they would order a new one but she said that she ??could not guarantee the quality of the product?. What kind of business does not guarantee the quality of their product and will accept poor quality from their supplier? They did not say this before they took my money. They said they ordered a new one, but they told me that when the new one came it was just as bad as the first one. I didn??t see it so I don??t know if they actually ordered a new one or not. They refused to order another one. So I asked them to get me a good quality veneer. Yvon said she would order one but said, again, that she ??could not guarantee the quality of the product?. When the new veneer arrived I made another half hour trip to get it but the veneer had good sized bubbles on it and it was too dark. It was unusable. Yvon said she hadn??t noticed the bubbles. When I told her that as a vendor of the manufacturer??s product they could insist that they receive decent quality merchandise and stand up for their customers she said she ??didn??t appreciate being lectured to?. Finally I had to order a panel that normally goes next to the refrigerator, at my expense, to cover the disfigured pantry. To top it all off when I went to pick up the panel, which also had some minor discoloration, and it was something like my fifth trip to their store, Amy said that she would not accept a check for it. She told me ??that after all is said and done it is not good business to accept a check.? The irony was glaring. After I promised not to cancel the check she finally took it. Incidently, the style I ordered, the cherry finish, was non returnable. There was a 30% restocking fee for other styles.
