I've been eating at Capp's my whole life and I can always count on the food being delicious! Family style means they serve you minestrone and salad to share over the first two courses and then your main course. The Osso Bucco is to die for, tired it many other places, but is NEVER as good as Capp's. Their house wine is descent and you can walk out of there with enough food for lunch and dinner the next day!

Pros: Good value. Fun, casual place.

Cons: Low-end wine list

Smelled great when we walked in and has a cozy feel. We were told at the door that it was family style and could share an entree because of the portion size (big). This was not the case at all - the waitress snapped at us and said that the

There is nothing outstanding on the menu, but it was reasonably priced.

The charm is only due to location.

The service.... So AWFUL. We had reservations for a group of 8 for noon. We ordered at 12:20. At 1:20 still no food, and had to

Pros: low priced food, Close to BBB

Cons: rude, slow service, mediocre food, pay parking only

Located in San Francisco's North Beach, which was the Italian district (now shared by the Chinese), this is a pleasant old time restaurant. Not fancy, but homestyle. Don't miss the minestrone!

PROS: Inexpensive (about $15 per person or so)
CONS: Not fancy

Great food and lots of it. You can spend an inordinate amount of time reading the walls. A true North Beach, Italian eatery. We've always been seated promptly. We have a lot of fun with our servers.

The atmosphere here feels authentic and local. The food was bland and plain. My marinara sauce was bland in color, texture and taste. My friend's alfrado sauce was the same. It didn't seem like "city food" at all. Almost like

Old-school food served by old-school people... feels like you're meeting cousin Vinnie in Hoboken -- Tasty, cheap Italian served with attitude. My faves: Tortellini and cannelloni.
