She is gentle but not skillful in terms of more advanced work. I got a crown and a veneer done (front teeth) at her office. The edge of the veneer is too thick and make my lips uncomfortable when I talk. The edge ot the back side of the crown is way too thick. I cannot pronounce certain words such as "thanks" " zoo" very clearly after that. When I asked Dr. Kim to fix the problem, she told me to get used to my new teeth!

BTW, the dental hygienist was very nice and gentle.

The administrator/receptionist for Dr. Kim went out of her way to help fix an insurance problem. The dental hygienist was also very nice and gentle. Dr. Kim was professional and caring and took the time to answer my questions and concerns. The office is cozy instead of being sterile. I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

Have you ever heard of a 7-year old that LOVES the dentist? My daughter had the best experience here. She used to scream and cry and throw fits at the dentist and at the doctor's. She felt so at ease here that she is no longer scared of either! I've even transferred my appointments here. Dr Kim is great with kids without being condescending and baby talking them. Highly recommend!

She's very sensitive to any pain she causes, efficient, and thorough. Her hands seem really steady. She's also just a nice lady.

Angel, the nurse, was also really good. She was really sure I didn't choke on the water from the drill. I like that, because I tend to choke on the water.

I like the office. It's a converted house in the middle of a mostly residential area, with plenty of parking and good freeway access. The lobby is warmly but casually decorated -- something I really appreciate with dentists, since I'm usually a little anxious coming in.

Oh, and Dr. Kim's got this funny little habit of using the kiddie phrases ("open up like an alligator!") even if you're an adult. I think she sees a lot of kids. :^)

The office is warm and comforting from the moment you walk in. Dr. Kim came out and introduced herself and walked me personally through the forms to be completed. Nice touch. The staff was considerate and extremely helpful. It was, in every sense, pleasant. Few medical practices retain a sense of neighborhood and connectedness. Most are in high-rise office buildings that are simply impersonal and sterile. Dr. Kim's office is in a converted house which gives it that extra feel of stepping back in time to when personal care was more, well, personal and less business.

PROS: Comfortable environment and personable staff
CONS: Absolutely none.

This was also my best dental experience. I was given a thorough and virtually painless cleaning for a very reasonable price (I am uninsured). Dr. Kim and her staff are very pleasant and professional, and she seems to be using more sophisticated equipment than other dentists I have been to recently. The difference between her and the other dentists I have been to is remarkable. If you are looking for a new denstist, look no further.

if you are wary and afraid to go to the dentist, this is the office you need to go to. I've been taking my son to Dr Maria since his first tooth popped out and have had several cleanings without any trouble (he's 3.5 years old now). I like going for myself since they are so nice, professional, thorough, yet gentle in a relaxed atmosphere. I've had my filling fall out (25yr old filling) and I thought I had chipped my tooth, and both times they were able to see me right away without any problems.

My daughter was sent home by the school nurse because her tooth hurt her. My regular dentist was on vacation so I went to Dr. Maria. She is a female dentist and I think my daughter really liked that. It was the first time my daughter ever had a shot so I was nervous. But dr. Kim used a method so gentle my daughter didn't even know she got a shot. I don't think my daughter will let me take her back to her old dentist now. I am very thankful.

I probably had my best dental experience of my life a few weeks ago when my regular dentist was on vacation and referred me to Dr. Kim. She is extremely knowledgeable, she made sure I had a clear understanding of my options and of the procedure at hand. She is extremely gentle and sensitive to the patients needs at every monent you're in the chair. She also has state-of-the-art equipment, things that I wish my regular dentist had, that ultimately makes for a more relaxed, comfortable experience. I highly recommend Dr. Kim!!!

I have always been very very anti-dentist but she really made me feel comfortable.
but a good friend recommended her and now i want to recommend her to everyone!
the shots didn't hurt and she explained things very well.
i didn't feel like i was being ripped off like i did at my other dentist and i was happy when she didn't have to send me out for the root canal.
she did have to send out to a gum surgeon to get the tooth implant done, but he was very friendly and good as well.
plus the work she did looked gerat in the end!
i feel like i have my old smile and teeth back!
the fees were reasonable for the area...not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.
