Chowder, fresh baked bread, king crab claws, shrimp cocktails, freshest fish in town! One of my favorite restaurants in all of Orange County. Definitely try it out
5I love seafood but usually the food is just OK here. I usually like places that have a limited menu but not when the food isn't great for those few items they serve. Decor is cold.
3I enjoy eating at the Crab Cooker. They make a great salmon, exactly how I like it - crispy on the edges and done on the inside. The mashed potatoes are great too!
The waitresses are extremely friendly and everyone - even the cooks - seem to be enjoying their time there. It's crowded at both lunch and dinner, so either go a little early for dinner, and later for lunch.
If you can look past the plastic dinnerwear, you'll be fine.
The prices are very reasonable for serving fish.

my brother is going back to college-- to the land of BBQ, aka Texas. Before he left, my family went out to dinner. what my brother really wanted was salmon. We decided to go to the crab cooker. they serve everything on paper plates with plastic utensils and cubs, but it is still fantastic. very laid back and very tasty. they don't always have the halibut, but when they do, get it! it is so good! my dad always gets the scallops. but pretty much everything is good. each dinner entree comes with rice or potatoes and cole slaw or tomatoes. i got the tomatoes and potatoes. they were great. i highly recommend this place when you are hungry for some good seafood. the servers are always friendly.
