Pit Stop Hits the Spot

by Ted R.

I travelled all the way across town to bring my father and two brothers here because the other restaurant they had closed. But its worth it. This one has a new smoker in the back for that more authentic bbq taste. We got the 20 piece with all the fixings. Good portions (needed to be) and service was very personal and caring. The best bbq in the area and very easy to find. Time to update the reviews on this one.

Pit Stop BBQ

by Ken O.

Best pulled pork sandwich in Sac and reasonably priced too! Fries are the best! Been going here for over 20 years. Ribs are tender and sweet. They also have a bigger/nicer place on Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.

Pit Stop BBQ

by Michael M.

The food is very good. It's very authentic southern BBQ. If one has never experienced the "south", then this is close to what you'll find. The atmosphere isn't the nest, but it's what you'd expect in an out of the way place in North Carolina.

Yuck!!

by Tony B.

After a trip to Texas, I had the urge to try all of the BBQ places that I could. I haved had some very good BBQ and some Very bad. Unfortunately, Pit Stop Bar BQ is the latter. It was perhaps the worst BBQ I have ever had. I believe that their cooking methods are to boil the meat, let it sit in a warmer until dried and hard, then when somebody places an order they take the meat out, put BBQ sauce on it and give it to the customer. I just wrote a run-on sentence, but the BBQ is far worse than my grammer. I'll never go to this place again unless I see smoke coming from the building and a "New Management" sign on the door.
