Katrinas is AWSOME! The wait can be horrendous, even if you get there early, but it's completely worth it! Bring cash or check...they don't accept plastic. Don't be afraid to try anything on the menu. In 20 years, I can never remember having a bad meal here. Go around the side of the building, and there is much more parking. Since they opened that lot, finding a spot has become quite a lot easier. Be prepared to wait though. I can't remember the last time I went there and didn't have to wait for a table. If you go for lunch, try the New York Style Pastrami Sandwich. A little on the oily side, and definately NOT true New York style, but still oh so amazing!

So, I almost hate to write this review because I'm a local who doesn't want to tell the world about my favorite place; but Katrina deserves to hear my appreciation. It seems that Katrina's is the best place for breakfast in the WEST. I grew up eating her food, then moved to Portland, and moved back. As many of you know, Portland is riddled with excellent restaurants (that's what happen when it rain all the time...people go out to eat) and nothing compared to Katrina's lemon yougurt pancakes with fresh berries, or her avocado delight, or her biscuits and gravy, or, or, or the list goes on. My husband and I love trying new places and always come back to Katrina's for a great breakfast or lunch. Katrina's was recently reviewed in the Sacramento Magazine and you should believe every word that was written. Katrina, if you are reading this; thank you for giving Auburn culinary clout. We love you!

Pros: Food and service.

Cons: Seems like the word is out so you'll be waiting awhile. It's worth every second of standing in the cold though.

This restaurant has a fantastic brunch at really fair prices. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Its very loud and family friendly, a great place to take the kids on a Sunday afternoon

Interesting menu, great service, excellent food, only one problem - it is so small and hard to get a seat. But - it is worth the wait. So grab a newspaper or book (or get ready to have an interesting conversation with your mates) and stay hunger - it is worth the wait.

The menu is amazing. Everything is extremely tasty and the staff is wonderful. The tastes are superb. I guess that I would describe the menu as Californian with fresh fruit and avocado. My personal favorite is the Tuscan Scramble.
The only downsides are the lack of parking and that everyone else knows about it.
We try to eat there whenever we're in the area.

Katrina's is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. (On those days, you must try the Breakfast Club nearby).

On Wednesdays thru Sundays, I would rank "Katrina's" number one, with the Breakfast Club #2, as the best breakfast joint in Auburn.

My daughter loves the pastrami sandwich, but I prefer Max's Deli.
I love their burgers, very large juicy and satisfying.

Don't even think about coming during the rush hours on Saturday and Sundays, there will be a one hour waiting time for a table.

We love Katrina's........sure wish they'd be open every day (they are closed Monday and Tuesday). They also close promptly at 2pm every other day they're open (it would be nice to have longer hours....)

On their lunch menu, check out the awesome burgers and pastrami sandwich (my daughter could not finish hers....)

There are far too few kick-ass breakfast places in the world as far as I am concerned. Buiscits and gravy, potatoes, omelettes and fruit....sandwiches and burgers! Everything is great. So small that you always have to wait and it seems so long before the food comes. Its worth it though.
