I stumbled upon this find with a local school auction win; I had always wanted to try Pilates. In a short series of classes, I felt a noticeable change! With a few more classes, I felt sleeker in my over-40 body! I was amazed at how much

My husband booked a massage for the both of us as a special treat for me. When we arrived at the Spa, the girl at the front counter asked if we had been guests there before. My husband said yes and I said it was my first time. The girl didn't even walk me around to show me where everything was. She just pointed and said, "the women's area is back there and to the right." So I wandered back and found my way to a locker and got my own robe and slippers. Then I asked another spa guest where everything was located. Luckily she was very nice and helped me.

Our massages were scheduled at 12:00 and I made my way to the waiting area at 11:45am. Time went ticking by and still no one came for my massage and none of the staff came to update me. By 12:20, I had to ask about the delay. The gal who was stocking the towels went to the front desk. A few minutes later, the manager shows up and says she apologized, but the masseuse didn't show up and they had no one to massage me today. She offered me a facial, but I explained my husband and I were heading out somewhere directly afterwards and I didn't bring my make up (since I wasn't there for a facial in the first place...duh!). I asked if my husband was getting a massage and she replied, "Oh yes, he started his session at 11:55."

I was not upset that a masseuse didn't show up (sh*t happens), I was upset over the lack of communication and customer service from all levels of staff. You pay good money to have a special day and, at the very least, you expect SOME customer service.

So I ended up getting dressed and asking the girls at the front desk if I could let my husband know they could not give me a massage. The girl replied that they did not interrupt sessions, except in emergencies. She offered to pass a note to the massage therapist right away so she could give it to my husband.

Long story short, the girl at the counter never even gave the note to the therapist. She gave my husband the note after he was finished with his massage, so she lied. My husband had no idea what was going on. When my husband explained it was supposed to be a special day for me, the manager changed her story and said that they could give me a massage right then (she lied, too - do you notice a theme here?). Too late, as I was already dressed and waiting in the car.

So my recommendation is to stay away from this place unless you want poor customer service all around. For the price of services, I also expected more from the facility itself - it is very small and basic. It's very unfortunate that I didn't read the reviews before going here. I agree with other reviewers who say the customer service is disappointing.

The Spa & Fitness Club made a terrible day for me and my husband when it was supposed to be a special one

This is a wonderful place to go for hot stone therapy. For non-members, it is worth it to pay to use the spa for the day, and relax in the eucalyptus steam room after your treatments.

I do alot of traveling, and I have to say, these people are just nice. Not exactly a resort spa, but it is far above and beyond what you would expect from a day spa or anything else in the area.

This beautiful spa has FANTASTIC FOOD! I'll be back even if I don't have time for a service. The massages are pretty fantastic too, but Carolyn is the best facialist in town

I am recommending and absoultly going back and with my mom and sister. This was my 1st Hot Stone Therapy expericence and let me tell you ....you must try this! It was an incrediable 75minutes of pure bliss. It was as if all my cares had melted away. With perfect pressure she rubbed and geled my muscles and feet with hot stones and even put little tiny ones in between my toes. I felt completly grounded, in the end she had to wake me up. My therapist was so caring and attentive. I was deeply impressed with Victoria, who came highly recomended by the Spa Director Debbie Castillo. The staff there is so nuturing and helpful, they always meet my needs and offer different scented shower rooms, chill towels with cucumbers, steam, suana and whirlpool!!! I look foward to my next service, which I happened to book that same day on my way out for Mothers Day!

I tried the Water facial and it definitely works! My wife is always talking about these expensive treatments and she made the appointments..I don't regret it. I think she was trying to tell me I needed to look younger! Well, I do. The Hydrafacial has great results, a bit pricey, but I guess you can't put a $ on youth! I'll be back when I can afford it.

Pros: A facial that works!

Cons: slightly pricey

.

PROS:
The lobby is beautiful and luxurious. The staff is friendly and polite. My massage was good, not excellent. These are the ONLY positive things I have to say. I am not a spa connoisseur but a value connoisseur.

CONS:
The entire time I was in my treatment room there were loud voices incessently talking on the outside. No one uses quiet or whispering voices; staff, therapsits, and patrons speak like they are walking around the mall. The lounge is circa 1993 with pastel colors of peach, pink and green and large pine armioire(white washed) with a TV blaring food network!!!!

The place needs to be remodeled. The marble is plentiful, but badly needs to be rehabbed. One of the worst things was that attendants congragated and socialized with one another in guest area. Staff should be rarely seen and never heard in a spa. The sauna had dust all around. One of the towels I picked up had brown stains on it. (no joke) The water on my shower took 10 min. to heat.

I am not a complainer nor hard to please. I complained about my horrible experience in my treatment room. I got my $4 valet taken care of WOW. The valet service itself is pretentious and seemingly rather useless.

I have been here twice due to a gift certificate. First time: I left thinking- what is all the fuss about? Kinda a dump. Second time: I left very irritated and feeling angry that someone gave me such a nice gift that basically sucked.

This place is overpriced, totally not relaxing at all!!! Low class place, high prices.

Just like so many other crappy cultural things in OC, this place's reputation is a wash. (in other words: people apparently pay the money here to say they go to "the spa")

At best you could call this place a mediocre health club with spa services. I have been to the spas @ mandalay bay, canyon ranch, bellagio and extensively in Sedona.

My advice: Go to Spa Gregorie's, montage, surf and sand etc.

I recently became a member and this place is just hands down the best around. I've only had a few services but they were all exceptional. The fitness club is private, just like I like it! I think I have discovered my new lifestyle! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel good in a private setting w/ steam rooms, saunas, a pool!!! Keep up the good work.

My wife made me go...and it was fantastic. I had a great facial and pedicure, which I won't admit to my friends, but there were just as many men here as women...So I'm hooked and don't feel out of place. There's a reason why women retreat to this place, it's just perfect. My services were fantastic and my wife and I were able to sit side my side to get our pedicures in a private little suite. We'll be back.

I have been going to this spa for several years for facials and massages, but the service has consistently declined. While the atmosphere is lovely, the quality of the services leaves something to be desired. Their cancellation policy is much too rigid: if you cancel in under 24 hours, you will be charged a fee, even if you are having a medical emergency and are at the ER! It's not worth it. Take your business elsewhere--I know I will.

We have been frequent customers to the Spa for several years. Over the past few months, the quality of the massages have waned. Only two of my past four massages have been "best of" quality. Emily C. was friendly, but her massage was weak and she was not able to adjust pressure at all. Additionally, my mom received a massage in early November with Victoria V. that left her with a golf ball size knot in her neck and a bruise for a couple of weeks. Victoria shrugged it off as normal.

Finally, my mom, sister & I were all scheduled for massages for Christmas. As we were on the way to get them, we had to check my mom into the emergency room because she fainted twice in two minutes (for the first time in her life). When I called to cancel the appointments because the hospital admitted my mom for testing, I was told that the 24 hour cancellation fee would not be waived for two out of three massages because they weren't able to fill the other appointments on such short notice. I called back to speak to the manager, Debbie Castillo. After several minutes of talking & explaining the situation, she agreed to charge us only 50% of the cost of the other two. I let her know that I was dissappointed in the solution for a true emergency (she wouldn't even give us a credit) and she offered 3 passes to use the facilities.

Though slightly more expensive, I have had much better service and consistently better treatments at both Burke Williams in Mission Viejo and the Hyatt in Huntington Beach.

I had the best MOther's Day ever! THank you guys. My husband bought me a $300 to splurge, we have a 6month old, and I would have never indulged that much. But I am so glad he did. I had a great facial with Nelida, Hot Stone Therapy and spent a beautiful relaxing day by the pool. The "THanks Mom" snacks and mimosas were such a classy touch. I'll be back.

I haven't been to a spa in while that meets the level of this one. Everyone over hypes the "new therapies" and prices them in the clouds. This spa offers a great variety of services while giving consistent expertise in the classis spa massage. I've paid $75-$200 for an hour massage and this is the only spa that is worth it every time. The Signature Massage is perfect, and inexpensive...and you always know you're going to get a great massage.

I had a complimentary training session with Priscilla and I have never been so impressed. You would never believe a place like this exists today...City Folk with Country Charm. My husband and I booked a massage here. Mine's was great, I felt relaxed aftewards but my husband was not happy with his masseuse at all. He asked for more pressure but he said she did it so lightly that he felt the same afterwards. He thinks she was just too lazy to put more effort into it. Also, she was late for the appt and he felt that she was rushing the job. We didn't have time to enjoy the spa but the locker rooms and whirlpool that we saw were very nice and luxurious. We would come here again but hopefully have better luck with the masseuse.

Thank you for providing excellent service in a great atmosphere without paying hotel resort prices. I have traveled the world and paid $85-$200 for a massage, this is a resort setting with all of the perks, steam room, whirlpool, fitness..without getting stuck with a hotel room just to relax. This is as good as it gets without paying $300+ a night. Management was available upon my request (never happens at a hotel) and simply listened to my input. If I lived in the area, I would be a member.

I have been to the Spa about 4-5 times and service is inconsistent. The facilities are nice - graphic design is a bit on the Orange County style (dated and trying too hard). Half the time I come out feeling great, otherwise I feel I paid too much for the experience. It is the only decent place I've been to in Orange County - there's not much choice like in Los Angeles.

Thank you for the perfect day! As a busy executive, I make many excuses for not working out, taking care of myself, etc...Your Spa and fitness center has made me not want to make excuses. The friendly staff and beautiful decor make it the perfect place to exhale. Keep up the good work. (I love the Aromatherapy Showers)

Pros: Personable Staff, Upscale, Great Amenities

.

This spa was so perfect in sooo many ways. I will definitly return. I had an 80 minute aromatherapy treatment with massage. It was so wonderful. The atmosphere was very pleasent. The moment I checked in, I was pampered. The employees were very nice and polite. I definitely would recommend to do the extra time with the whole spa experience for a little extra money. They have a whole lot to do. I hope all enjoy.

Pros: massage, valet parking, relaxing enviroment

Cons: none

That's what you'll feel like after an hour at the Spa. Complete satisfaction. From when I drove into the valet parking lot, to when I stepped in the door to a relaxing waterfall, until the celebrity-like treatment...every moment was enjoyable. They really take care of you too. And you can grab a healthy bite to eat on your way out. I see why this is a Best of Citysearch 9.

Pros: Valet, Fitness Gym, Service

.

The spa treatment was wonderful. They also have a state of the art fitness facility. Their gym wsa great. They really focus on the betterment of yourself through fitness, feeling, and treatments. Great service, about three people came to me and asked if I would like anything to drink, fruit, etc. I finally settled on the water, and as silly as it sounds, some of the best water I've ever had (although it came in such a tiny cup). Great place, go there for a massage, or enjoy a membership.
