Came in here for lunch while working in nearby East Oakland.

The atmosphere is modern, the lighting was good, and they were busy at lunchtime.

The pros:
Some of the dishes are very good. I had the black-bean shrimp which was nice but small. My co-worker ordered the mushrooms stuffed with crab. Also nice but small.

The cons:
Chow-mien noodles were spinach-flavored and green. Kinda odd if you're craving Chinese. Also, lots of noodles and very little of the meat/tofu/veggies that were the main appeal of these dishes. $7.50 lunch specials DID NOT include soup or an egg roll, and standard Chinese fare such as kung pao chicken was not on the menu.

A good place to go if you're afraid of other East Oakland Eateries, but I may try JJ's fish and chips next time...

This is an okay place at best. They try to do this whole Asian fusion thing which basically means lets bastardize authentic Asian food so Californians will eat and they ruin it either way. skip anything that comes from water here. they simply cannot cook fish correctly

I loved going here for their fusion of Asian food. The restaurant is tucked away but definitely worth finding parking on the street. The food is delicious, though not the largest portions.

We've eaten at CreAsian many times but had not been there in about a year. We're sorry it has taken so long to revisit it. Went on a Friday night and had no problem getting a table. The place did fill up by the time we finished dinner. Started off with great appetizers - chicken spring rolls, chinese chicken salad, and our favorite - calamari. The service could not be better. Our drinks from the bar were served quickly and were good - not the watered down versions you often get at restaurants. Usually we order lots of appetizers and share them. This was the first time we ordered entrees. The salt and pepper scallops were tasty and plentiful. I think there were at least 6 large scallops on the plate, served with green beans and rice. I asked for stir fried green beans rather than tempura style and they were the best! My husband ordered the special for the night - pan fried snapper with crab. There were no leftovers on his plate! The staff was very attentive and friendly. Checked on us several times, but did not disturb us - they let us enjoy our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are looking to get stuffed, not the restaurant for you. However if you are looking for a tasty Asian-fusion, modern, dimly lit intimate dining experience, Cre Asian is for you. We love their tangerine Cosmo, as well as an asparagus appetizer that is wonderful. Their scallop dishes are lovely, with nouveau presentation and clean taste compliments in every dish.

This is one of my favorite resturants. It is a very simple looking resturant with very good food. It is very Asian Fusion with a wide variety of food. My absolute favorite dish is the seared Ahi Tuna!!! I get it almost everytime i go to the resturant. They have very good tempura aparagus and mushrooms and a very light chinese chicken salad. I highly recommend this resturant, I would recommend making a reservation on friday and saturday nights just in case. They do tend to get busy on those nights.

CreAsian is a joke. WITH a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to be seated, another 20 for water, another 30 for our order to be taken.

After an hour and 40 minutes of no food, I asked the waitress for our bill so that we could leave. All she could say was "sorry", but never came with the bill. Another 10 minutes later I asked another waitress, and she said "sorry" and that our food was up next, but never brought the bill as I asked. Finally, the head waiter came up to us after it was obvious that I was very upset, and said "sorry" - at this point, I didn't care. I asked for our bill for the drinks and appetizers...

I wish I could have my time back.

This is a delightful restaurant that has great food with touches of all asian cuisines. The restaurant is simply decorated but creates an intimate warm feeling. Don't be discouraged by the funky location (parallel to the freeway). The food was all wonderful especially the seared scallops in a light wasabi sauce and the pineapple rice with prawns was my favorite! Has quite a large wine list including sake's and a variety of interesting cocktails. Try it and enjoy!!!
