this is probably one of the best pho places in california. yeah, the service is bad, but if you're used to viet places, then this is no exception. i've been going here for over a decade, i know viet food and i can say they make really good pho. if you're adventureous, try the bun bo hue and bun rieu. it's like eating home cooked viet food.

Pho Kim Long has the best chicken pho (Pho Ga) in the Bay Area!!! That's quite a claim. I don't consider myself an expert on Pho, but I've had enough bad Pho to make that statement. I had excellent chicken pho in Westminster (Little Saigon down in Orange County, which is known to have the best Vietnamese food in CA), and Pho Kim Long measures up, maybe even exceeds. Now, I don't know if they use MSG (probably because I sometimes feel the effects afterwards), but I don't really care! It's a bit of a trek for me to go there, but I go out of my way every once in a while. Portions are generous - a small bowl is enough for me. I haven't had the beef Pho here before, but I'm sure it's great too. This place can get quite busy around lunch time on the weekends, which is the only time period I've ever visited. Before noon and after 1:30 pm might have less of a wait.

PROS: Excellent chicken pho, best I've ever had.
CONS: Can be a bit of a wait during busy hours of lunch.

My Vietnamese friend took me there the first time and recommended me some choices. If you try #1->#20(?), those are regular pho with regular clear broth(lots MSG) which you can get pretty much anywhere. You have to try the one starting from #20(? on menu page 2), which has crab meat, tomato, different spice in it. Those are real GOOD! I prefer those much better than regular pho. I had those only once in college when a vietnamese girl cooked for her asian sorority, and I never tasted again. I am glad to find a restaurant which offer this type of "pho".

also try the BBQ pork over rice.

While the food was good, the service was HORRIBLE!!! They rush customers like ducks, bad attitude, clean up or mop the floor right next to you with dirty water. But again the food's good, so i kept going back.

like my friend's saying, dirty food's good food.

Took more than 20 minutes to be seated. Took 10 more minutes for order to be taken. 20 more minutes of waiting for meal. Waitress was disrespectful, gave me and my family an attitude. Very unsatisfied at service, food wasn't anything special as well. There are tons more Pho restaurants and this is by far the worst.

Pho Kim Long sells pho(obviously), other noodles, and I think some rice dishes. I think that this is one of the best places to eat pho. The bowls are around $4-$5 for a regular bowl of pho. The waitresses and waitors are helpful and get you things quickly if you need anything. The best thing about this restaurant is that the bowls are big so you get full after eating just half a bowl!

This place gets packed at lunch time but they get you in and out FAST! By far the largest bowl of pho in the bay area that I've come across and it taste so MM MMM good! Try the regular beef pho, or the chicken pho, you'll be happy with both. Two other soups that I really recommend is the snail soup and the spicey beef soup. Get the large bowls if you dare, they're HUGE. YUM!

This place offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes, which are all very good. I suggest their pho, however. Their portions are huge and a regular bowl ranges within 5 to 6 dollars. Their egg rolls and rice dishes are also very good. They have
