I have a hair addiction. I travel from San Francisco just to get my hair cut and colored by Candy at Sirens. There are several talented stylists and the customer service is superb.

I recently went there to get a cut and found the service incredible. They were not working on several client at once like some other salons do and for that reason I will be back!

I've been to this salon twice in the last two months and love what I've received. I've had my hair cut, colored and highlighted and am very pleased with the service. I go there looking for someone to style my hair and advice me on the choices I'm making on my hair. I've had my hair done by Adrienne who is a perfectionist at cutting hair. She doesn't let you out of the chair until she feels you?re ready. There's no skimping on the cut because the next person is waiting. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. I've noticed that there appears to be a lot of regulars, which makes me, feel even more comfortable. I haven't tried the spa treatments yet, but from what I've seen that will be next on my list. I've already recommended Sirens to everyone I know. I'm very picky about people doing my hair and think I finally found the place. As for the other review, I'm not sure what happened there. Since I've been going there, there is no one that actually does nails. So maybe it was bad timing. As for the shop it's self, I haven't noticed anything that would concern me about the cleanliness of this shop. I?m even bringing my kids there?..

PROS: Great hairstylist
CONS: so far I'm still looking for them...

I had a massage here about a year ago that was pretty decent, so I decided to try out their spa manicure and spa pedicure. Granted, I had not seen the mani and pedi facilities; however, due to the quality that is promised in the description of the services and the sheer style of the place, I assumed that the service would be impeccable. I was wrong. My mother-in-law and I waited for 30 minutes before we were taken into this other small room. There were nail clippings from previous pedicures ALL over the ground and we had to walk on them during the course of our "service" as the same lady had to do both our fingernails and toenails. Going back and forth from one chair to another, we couldn't avoid the clippings. Also, the woman who was doing our pedicures and manicures used a simple foot soak tub and we were sitting in regular wicker chairs. Not only were we NOT offered the scrub choices promised in the brochure, but my mother-in-law's cuticles were left bleeding and the skin on our legs was practically rubbed off as the pedicurist rubbed so hard. I have to say, it was the WORST experience I have ever had and I have never written a complaint in my life about any company. I did called the owner and she DID give me a full refund in the form of a gift certificate; however, when I brought up health code issues (due to clippings and bleeding cuticles) she got very defensive and denied that any code was being violated. All that to say, if you're looking for a nice manicure and pedicure, you're better off going to a cheaper place where they have those nice massage chairs and foot baths.

PROS: It's in San Diego
CONS: The prices are WAY to high for services received.
