Ratings_icons I love Indian Hills Ranch!

Lisa R.

I think the negative review down below must be from a competing boarding facility or someone who had to be kicked out for bad behavior! I've boarded at Indian Hills for almost three years and absolutely love it there! People of all disciplines board there and get along beautifully! It is a large ranch, but very rarely is there an issue with sharing arenas or facilities. I can't imagine boarding anywhere else!

this is a great place to board with an interested owner, responsible management and a friendly crowd. if you are interested in horses and enjoying them in a calm and respectful manner this is the place for you. The staff who clean and feed are careful and responsible with the horses. There are various types of "accommodations" for your horse and great access to beautiful tails as well as 3 miles of safe fenced trails on the property, This is a great place for the novice and expert alike. There are social gatherings and I have met very few people who have been disruptive and they have been asked to leave which is what i suspect happened to the person who gave the very negative review

Ratings_icons Great place to board

Sally T.

I ran in to this post when looking up the address for another purpose and couldn't believe the bad review was about the same place I've been been boarding for the last almost 7 years. It is a lovely facility that is well-maintained and the management is on-site. We continue to have upgrades to the facility and features added as boarders express interest. We have an active natural horsemanship group, jumpers, dressage, quadrille group, young riders, trail riders, - in other words, a very accommodating group where anyone with a good attitude is welcome. As with any boarding facility, you need to come see for yourself to be sure you'll fit in. Sadly, there's not an option to let your horse come for a trial - that's where the truth is. According to so many boarders, what makes them so happy is that there horse is happy and calm here.

Ratings_icons I like IHR - good place to board

Anonymous

Just posting because that's a really odd review above. I've been at IHR for 3 1/2 years now and have no complaints. The management is very nice and do their best to make the place safe and comfortable for the horses. The pastures are hilly and can get muddy in the winter, but have natural grass that grows and the horses are also fed hay year-round.

The staff is friendly and the barn manager checks the horses multiple times a day to ensure they are OK. As for rodents, we have the usual share of mice and squirrels for a rural area, but nothing out of the ordinary.

You'd be much better off coming to visit the place, than listening to the other post. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I haven't experienced any of the above.

Ratings_icons ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DON'T BOARD HERE!

Suzy Q.

Moldy rotten hay, many colics and impactions, expect huge veterinary bills, pasture horses starved and covered in lice, very poor to no bedding, hundreds of rats and other rodents, callous helpers inflicting multiple injuries on horses, overcrowded arenas and dangerous shenanigans in arenas, inexperienced know- it-all, nosey, unpleasant bad spirited boarders with high school mentalities, completely unresponsive cranky old manager, don't expect to get a response to maintenance requests.
