Ranchos Cocina

First thing of note when going to Ranchos... BE PATIENT. They are definitely on their own schedule, and if you're starving, that just might not be fast enough for you.

Once you get past that, enjoy browsing through their extensive menu (which includes an enormous amount of vegetarian (great for me) options), and choosing any one of a number of items that you inevitably love. My wife loves all of the meat dishes that she's tried there, and has a really difficult time choosing between them.

Great mexican food place off of sunset cliffs. Ocean beach is awesome. THis place "green" so they have alot of alternatives. I like the soy cheese. Pretty good

Ranchos makes what I call California Fresh Mex. Lots of yummy ingredients like tofu and shitaake mushrooms. My favorite is the tofu scramble for breakfast and my husband love the pancakes. The cheese enchiladas with mole sauce are excellent. Staff is friendly, though a bit lax ... but perfect for the laid back neighborhood that it is located in.

I eat here way too much. The menu is ENDLESS and healthy ( you can make it unhealthy too- do not worry. ) great atmosphere, never a wait. quaint little patio is perfect. Breakfast is wonderful. Make it here to eat.
