This is a great organization if your kids are interested in drama - especially musical theater. My kids (middle school and high school) have participated in several of their productions. Almost all of their shows cast everyone who auditions - yet they still put together very high quality productions. Most of the shows are performed at the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts - a rather nice venue! It is a big time commitment for the kids, as well as some time for parents.

A family member was in the Beauty and beast play PYT put on. I decided to check PYT out. They offer a great program. Very organized and the kids love it. It is a little time consuming for the parents, since you also have to volunteer some of your time, but it is worth it.

PROS: Organized and Professional
CONS: Time consuming

The plays at the Peninsula Youth Theater are performed by kids for kids. It's a charming outing for the family and a great way to teach your kids about the Arts, while supporting other kids who give their hearts and souls to their performances.
