Girl In The Curl Surf Shop

A friend drove me down to Girl in the Curl to sign up for surf lessons...I expected to be intimidated...he's been surfing his whole life...I'm an east coast girl who loves to look at the ocean and collect shells...but secretly was desperate to know how to surf...ok...three lessons later...I am hooked...and yes I stood up! Mary Hartmann, the owner of GITC and my surf coach, preaches safety first...then let go of your fear...you can do it...and before you know it...you will! Mary's encouraging "hollers" on the beach gets all of the surfers cheering for you....MARY ROCKS...GO TO GIRL IN THE CURL for surf lessons and some really cute clothes....

I love this store because it is surf shop just for girls. The store has a lot of the top surfwear brands and a cost comperable to other surfshops. I love that the bikinis are sold as separates, because I can actually find a top and bottom that fit! Even if you aren't a surfer, you can find very cute accessories or gifts that are beachy or Hawaiin themed.

I love the fact that this store is completely centered around girls! It's so much fun! They carry all the good surf/skate brands and their full range of women's designs. It can be a little pricey but that is just because those brands are expensive. I always get at least one suit from here every summer. They just have really fun girly stuff. It's good being a girl!

This is pretty much a surf shop for girls ... it's full of lots of pink and flowers. If you are in need of a bathing suit or some board shorts you should check here. Because they are pretty much only women's stuff you have a lot to choose from.

this is an awesome surf shop! they have tons of different brands to chose from and a huge selection of clothes and accessories! i believe they carry bathing suits all year long as well. i would definately check it out if you haven't done so already

A Nice idea, helping to incorporate many a girl into the surfing world, but they miss the point by choosing to focus primarily on the women's fashion, and not on the actual surfing. They are defintiely not alone in that, though.
