I found G-F while doing a search on Google, and could not have been more pleased with the results. G-F's owner, Michele Marsh was helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. The work her son did on my 2002 Mini Cooper was spot-on and the turnaround time - less then a day to replace front end brakes and oil change. Her prices are also better then I have found anywhere else. Rest assured, she will get my business again!
These guys are great! I won't take my Infiniti FX35 anywhere else. Michele, the owner, is very personal and caring. I recommend this shop to anyone. They use quality parts and give quality service and I know I can feel confident that my vehicle is well taken care of and I won't get ripped off!
I drive down from San Francisco to come to this shop, and it's worth it!! G F was recommended by my friend who brings her Passat here and she LOVES them!
Since it's a Monday through Friday shop, they give rides to and from home or work or to the BART so they can work on your car while you are working or are home - They'll even drop you off to the mall or movies.
Michele is the most personable and honest person I know. If you have any problems, she'll address them and make things right.
If you have any problems and address them with Michele, she's sure to take care of it. A shop doesn't stay in business 30 years with good references for no reason
I had my 2005 Nissan taken in for a complete oil change and grease. They checked over all the items like Brake Fluid, Transmission Fluid, Power Steering Fluid, The Window Washer Fluid,Tire Pressure. I was surprised that they would check all of these Items. Very Good Service and a Reasonable Price.

Pros: They don't use cheap parts - honest and quality
Cons: Monday - Friday shop, but they go out of their way for you.
I had G-F do a lot of work on my 31 yr. old Chevy. They got the job done and mostly very good. But then I noticed they hadn't told me about a missing bolt on the rear leaf spring center mount and they had to have noticed. They also seemed like they didn't want to do some of the repairs I was seeking.
Then I dropped the car off to have the drive axles o-joints replaced. G-F decided to not return my calls inquiring to status of the repairs, they did $1000 worth of work I didn't authorize and called me on a Saturday night to pick up the car ""in the next 5 minutes"" before they close or wait until Monday.
Assuming the best, I did. Wasn't happy about the bill but figured to speak to the service manager Monday. There was also a big gouge in the fiberglass on the right front fender. Not to happy about that.
Then my credit card companies security division called and asked me if I was downloading songs from the 'net and paying for it with my Visa card??? Guess who was?
After all that, I discovered they hadn't tightened up some suspension parts to specifications, they had removed the wheel weights (to balance the tires) but had somehow forgotten to actually balance the tires.
Too bad, they used to be a good shop. Never again.
Pros: Nice service manager
Cons: Used to be good, can't trust them anymore
