We've had our two kids in Palcare going on 6 years now with 3 more to go and have been extremely impressed with the quality of education and care. I often solicit parental advice from teachers because in addition to knowing my kids, their experience and education gives them a broader perspective on child development than your average parent. It is a good idea to plan ahead and apply several months in advance as your ideal time slot might not be available right away. But once your kid is in they help you plan transitions from one class to the next based on a variety of developmental measures. It's a sought after school for good reason. It's excellent.

It seems this organization is saturated and bursting with registrants now but unwilling to admit it. The banner outside Palcare hangs there with imperfect, vague detail to lure applicants and they host semi-monthly orientations for eager and excited parents and readily collect the registration fees for each registrant. It is disrespectful to all of the good and everyday people targeted. We attended the orientation and were told the wait is 6-9 months, for our then 4 month old, before he would be admitted. We submitted our application 2 years ago along with the $25 dollar registration fee. Since then, we have delivered our second child and have yet to hear from Palcare about the status of our application. These decisions are not taken lightly, and under the circumstances, I would expect common courtesy from Palcare to elaborate on the admissions process and keep parents regularly apprised on progress of their application with meaningful updates. Share these details with the parents let them know how their child is de/prioritized. Provide realistic, honest and detailed answers. Palcare accepts the $25 bucks, and sometime, 2-3 years later (?), someone may be in touch. Like a gate agent waiting for you to board the plane first, and when you??re in your seat and the door is closed, you??re informed your flight has been delayed, Palcare knows your child is in a long queue not likely to be admitted for 2-3 years. The ethical thing to do is set proper expectations with these parents so they can make informed life-decisions affecting their children and families and determine if the wait is acceptable or consider other preschools. Don't give a false sense of hope that parents should expect a call within 6-9 months of submitting their application. Anyone considering Palcare should have alternate schools in mind. Know there are dozens of preschools on the Peninsula eager, as/more credentialed, and accommodating as Palcare willing and thrilled to have your child attend now.

Palcare is a great place to put your children. There are many volunteers that are very helpful in taking care of the kids. They have an excellent community and everyone helps one another. Its a wonderful environment for a child to learn and have fun. If you have the opportunity to enroll your child here, its will great for their overall learning and self esteem in the future.

We highly recommend Palcare, a home day care where our cousin's son goes. Palcare is located in San Frnacisco. Our relatives found this daycare after checking out many home-based day cares and feel very fortunate with their "find." Their oldest son, now in preschool, went to Our for three years, and their younger son (17 months) is just about to start. In general, Our takes great care of their kids. Great great place - highly recomended!

I volunteer at Palcare, and I love it. I get to see hands on how the children are treated and get to know them better. I would describe Palcare like a family because there's so much love between the caregivers and the children. All the caregivers know each of the children personally and try to give them individual care as much as possible. The kids absolutely ADORE their caregivers and treat them like they're their friends. It's a great community to put your kids in, I promise!
