The beds at the River Terrace Inn ranked up there with some of the best I've ever slept in. VERY comfy. The lobby is very well furnished. We didn't partake of the evening libations, but the breakfast buffet was outstanding!

My wife and I visited the River Terrace on our Wedding and 1st Anniversary. After staying here, I can not imagine staying elsewhere while in Napa. The hotel staff was one of the friendliest that we have encountered. The breakfast was delicious, the wine and desserts divine, and the room was beyond our expectations. This hotel MADE our Anniversary.

A friend of mine asked me to stay a few nights with her since she was going to be working on a project in Napa,CA. I obliged her & was taken aback when I saw the tracks for the Wine Train so close to the hotel. I thought, this is not going to be relaxing. I WAS SO VERY WRONG! I heard the train one time when I was leaving for wine tasting. The staff was polite & made check in easy. There is wine tasting in the evening, but I was comfortable in my bed & never made it. My friend & I enjoyed some sparkling in our room(I bought it from Domaine Carneros). (FYI~Do not remove the bottles in the room even to look @ them or its an instant charge to your room!!) There is a unique firepit out back to sit and sip wine purchased from their bar. Quite soothing! Breakfast buffet was boring for Wine Country. Pastries seemed like they could have come from Costco, coffee cake was dry, bacon overdone, eggs a basic scramble & pretty much not up to Wine Country standards. I settled for yogurt & coffee! Other than that, the stay was restful & I will be returning!
Pros: quiet & wonderful layout
Cons: breakfast buffet was boring for wine country
