I have been a client for years and would not bring my cat Simba to see any one but Dr Rosatto. I would also like to thank Dr.Anthony for saving Curly. For he would not be here today if not for her finding an allternative to euthanazia.The staff is very friendly and comforting when times are bad.Thank you MSJ!

I would have to agree with the views of those who felt that they were second rate citizens. Each time I go there I'm hardly acknowledged. The Vets are good, however the front staff, 1 in particular, needs some customer service classes. The last straw was I brought my dog in on Saturday morning after spending Friday evening at the Ohlone emergency hospital next door. My dog had stablized Friday evening, but started to have her breathing problems again the next morning. When I arrived, they made me wait so they can make copies and finish the paperwork for another customer. After 10 minutes, when they couldn't give me an ETA on when my dog would be seen or at least checked out by the vet, I left and brought my dog to Ohlone Hospital next door. When I brought her to Ohlone, they scooped her up and evaluated her immediately. Unfortunately my dog passed away later that evening, but at least she was tended by staff that cared.

I have to update my review. The business has become too impersonal. It is now run more like a big business than a local vet. I have had the scheduling screwed up a couple times. Once the appointment was canceled on me only to find out when I arrived. Other times I have had to sit an hour with no offer to reduce the fees because of their mistakes. I loved my vet Mich Chen but I cant continue to go here and am seeking another vet to do business with.

OLD REVIEW===============
Since moving to the Mission area I have taken Attila to MSJ Animal Hospital. First of all they board red dot animals, animals that have been aggressive. My kitty was abused by another vet and since then she was aggressive to anyone other than family. Attila's illness grew worse and after many emails medications and conversations with Dr. Chen we finally decided it was time to put her to sleep. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Once the staff realized what my office visit was for they immediately moved us into a room and allowed us to spend a few final minutes together. Dr. Chen and the staff were great understanding what I was going through. They made the best of a painful situation. To say the least if we ever decide to adopt again we will be going back to MSJ Animal Hospital.

We brought our guinea pig in a few years back when it was listless and had no appetite. It had some kind of stomach ailment. The veterianarian on duty that tended to our pet was uninformed and uneducated in rodent anatomy and did not seem to know what he was doing (although he feigned expertise). He rushed through the examination and did not give me any insight into my pet's condition other than very general statements that did not tell me anything I didn't already know.

I have taken my dog to this place for years.. They used to be excellent. Over the years they have become overpriced and . though they treated my dog wonderfully, I would not recommend them. Many times I would stand at the counter not even being acknowledged by the 4-5 people behind the counter.. Yes they busy ..but should always be able to say.. I will be with you in a moment.This does not happen..you just stand and wait.

PROS: treat animals well..
CONS: treat humans bad
