.

I have no problems with Kmart as a corporation. I have shopped at the store in Chico and the store in Yuba City and have had NO problems, but the store in Paradise is just AWFUL!

Living in Paradise, your choices for shopping locally are quite limited, so the occasional run to Kmart here really is a necessity (especially when you need diapers and do not want to run down the hill to get them.)

The clerks and managers at the Paradise Kmart are just rude and so unhelpful. I made the mistake of asking where I could find some seasonal cookie cutters (Halloween shapes)I had already walked around the store looking for them and could not find them. I went to the customer service desk and asked if they carried them and if so where might I find them. The assistant store manager was behind the counter, without even looking up at me she pointed to the rear of the store and said, back there.I assume she was gesturing to where the Halloween isles were. I informed her that I already been to that section of the store and could not find them, then without asking anyone she said then we dont have them. I said would you mind calling someone who works in house wares or in that department and asking them? She looked up at me, rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, picked up the phone, and called both departments. Repeated my question to them and then told me it would be a few minutes while they looked. No problem I thought, so I wandered to another isle to browse while waiting. I gave it 10 minutes and then went back up to the customer service desk, to be told, if we have anything like that it would be in the Martha Stewart collection. Okay, I thoughtnow where is that isle, I asked what Isle that was on and again just got pointed in the general direction of the back left portion of the store. At this point, I am beginning to become a very unhappy customerhow difficult would it be to ask a sales associate to show me where they are. She can see that I am carrying my 20lb infant son ar

PROS: they are close by
CONS: rude, no customer service, poorly organized and dirty
