Since purchasing my road bike here, I know consider myself a true bicyclist. The friendly staff has given me much advice that I use every time I ride, from how to rest my bike on the back wheel, to how to properly use my ULock to how to maintain my bike in peak condition. This shop is hands down the best bike shop in San Francisco. The sales staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and have years cycling and bike industry experience. My first bike purchase was made here, at American too. My original intention in getting a bike was to have a good way to get some exercise on the weekends, and it turned into a day to day commute and longer rides out of the city on the weekends. My passion for cycling outgrew my original purchase, the specialized hybrid, so I bought a road bike from the shop across the street just recently to help accommodate the longer rides where every bit of extra efficiency gain can really pay off. I thank everyone at American for their ongoing amazing service.
