I've been going to Awilda for 10 years, originally in West Hollywood, and for the past few years in Beverly Hills. I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism and friendliness. My haircuts are always great, and I have referred many people to her. It's impossible for me to believe that anyone has had a different experience. Try Awilda salon, and I suspect that you will become a regular - one of her many, many loyal and happy clients.

Awilda knows her color. I went in with pretty dark, almost black hair and she was able to give me color and highlights that really matched my skin tone. I've heard from friends that lightening such dark hair can be a challenge but Awilda knew exactly what I needed even though I didn't : )
I highly recommend Awilda's salon, especially if you're looking for color.

I made an appointment to cut my hairr, and when I show up they said it was cancel. I said why didn't you leave a message to say you cancel my reservation. I least, I would of not showed up. I did not get an apology or ask if they can reschedule. I would they don't need customer. I guess they can cut here so good, but they don't know a damn thing about professionalism, ethics, and common courtesty. If they wanted to cxl, they should of call and leave a message. that was so unkool and so LA. If you looking for a salon that can get hair but no customer service this is it.

after reading all the reviews, i thought id go to awilda and see what all the hype was about. first off, i had to wait for an hour even though i had an appointment. i think $95 for a haircut is too much especially when you are not happy with the results. i wanted something different, but awilda did what i specifically asked her not to do and i ended up with more of a trim than a haircut. she woudln't give me the bangs that i wanted and she didn't do anything else with my hair because she said it was too pretty to cut. i was not satisfied.

I am an Event Producer and left getting myself ready for the Oscars until the last minute. Awilda squeezed me into an early morning Friday appointment and I can't tell you how many people specifically commented on how beautiful my hair looked on that special night. She is more than a hairstylist, she is an artist. She listened to what I wanted and created it. I was nervous and under a lot of pressure about my event when I arrived at the salon, but by the time I left I looked great and that gave me a little extra confidence to get through a challenging weekend. Thanks Awilda. Fantastic job...again.

Awilda's salon is amazing! I have been going to Awilda for highlights and hairucts since I moved to Los Angeles, seven years ago, and I don't know what I would do without her. I am a "true" blonde, or at least that's what everyone that sees my hair thinks...and it is all because of the wonderful color work of Awilda. Each time I schedule an appointment, I look forward to spending time in her salon and with all of the fun and pleasant empoloyees. The overall tranquil and relaxing atmosphere can't be found at any other Beverly Hills Salon, but more importantly neither can the quality of work. Thanks to Awilda's Salon, I will always be even better than a natural blonde!

Awilda's salon is friendly, intimate and comfortable. Easy parking.
Awilda's ability at cut, color and highlights and blow-outs is uncomparable. She really has a knack for seeing what is appropriate for the type of hair. She has been doing my hair for several years and I am always very happy with the color, cut and styling. Her other hairdressers all seem to have a firm following and are busy busy too. They run on time, are concerned for their customers and are appropriately priced. I recommend this salon without reservation! A comfortable experience. (A manacurist, Angela, is also available and is excellent.)

I read reviews about Awilda Salon here on CitySearch.com and decided to give them a try. It was easy to get an appointment and once I got there, the atomphere was calm, yet upbeat! My appointment was with Awilda, and I wanted to do something different. What I love is that she talked to me about my hair, my needs, what I was and wasn't willing to do and then gave me her ideas, in addition some of the other stylist gave their ideas too. It gave me many options. I decided to get some highlights to lighten up my face and an easy to manage do. IT LOOKS WONDERFUL!! There was no pressure from anyone about my hair, or to buy products. They really truley just wanted me to be happy with my hair. I will be going again soon, I have a new place to do my hair!

This was the best overall salon experience I have ever had, and I have been to quite a few.... I called Awilda after reading the positive reviews on this site and after talking to a few other rude posh LA salons. I spoke with the owner Awilda and explained to her my hair disaster post chemotherpy treatment. She worked me into her schedule that same afternoon and literally transformed my hair. I couldn't be more greatful. I have found my new stylist and would recomend Awilda to anyone!

the staff is so nice, sweet and helpful and gave me suggestions about how to cut my hair. however, after my blowout washed out, i noticed that my layers are uneven. the ones on my left side of my face are about 2 inches higher than the ones on my right. after hearing so many good things about this salon, i was disappointed esp since my cut cost $100 (not including tip) and now i have to wear my hair tied up everyday until it grows out.

I have been going to Awilda's Salon for almost two years now, and each stylist is wonderful. Each stylist there has worked on my hair and I leave happy every time. They work as a team, each giving imput, and because of that I get many many compliments on my hair. What can I say Awilda, Katherine, and Sabrina they are all wonderful and they know what they are doing. They are not just stylist who work there, you get to know them. They become your friends. I can't wait to go get my hair done, so I can share with them what is new with me and I can find out what is new with them. They never bug me to buy anything and the vibe of the salon is wonderful and getting an appointment is easy.

I'm new in Los Angeles, and a friend of mine recommended this salon after having a great experience with Awilda herself. I called for an appointment and was booked with Katherine. She has a pleasant personality and an excellent vision of what cut and color perfectly fit you -- she gives great advice. She has plenty of fun stories about the various celebrities she's worked with, and the time passed quickly. I left completely transformed. Highly recommended!

I just had the best hair cut in my life and I found it on Citysearch (thank you Citysearch). The place is called Awilda's. It's in Beverly Hills, But don't let that fool you. Haircuts for men are affordable. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff is very accommodating. The look of the place is hip and cool. The music is mellow but funky. And best of all... Awilda's is an amazing stylist. She actually listens to what you want in a haircut. And delivers. Thank you Awilda. I'll be back and I'll bring some friends.

Since i moved here from Boston 8 months ago, i've been in search of a stylist that can handle my curly hair. i went on City Search and found Awilda Salon. i called and made an appointment with Awilda. i found the experience very pleasant. Awilda took time to talk with me and made me feel very comfortable. She put a color glaze on my hair. It made my color look rich and shiny. the cut and blow dry was really the best i've ever had. my hair stayed straight for days. i highly recommend this salon. thank you awilda + diana!!! i'll be back again, and i've told a few friends about this place already.

$75.00 for a haircut, $100.00 for highlights plus tip. That said, Awilda Salon is a great selection. Sabrina gave me a great cut, shaped for my face and my preference of length; and the highlights were done like a pro--tasteful, lightening for my dark complexion, but not obnoxious (no zebra stripes, no ugly orange afterwards, evenly balanced even with my curls). Also, Sabrina herself makes the time pass quickly with good conversation and, if you like, advice. She'll give you tips about what your hair might need or what might look good on you... minus the sales pressure. Thanks Sabrina!

You must get your hair colored and cut by Sabrina - she's amazing!! I have very hard to dye hair (color: red) and she's perfect every time... she's so careful with my roots. It's always a perfect match. Even when i want to play with fun new colors, she always works with me to get the best look. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. The salon itself is very relaxing - not pretentious at all like you might think a Bev Hills address might be. A+++++

I personally saw Sabrina for color. She is very detailed and professional. She listened carefully to what I wanted and what beautiful color! The atmosphere is almost zen like, very peaceful. No shee-shee here. If you go on Wednesdays, you'll beat the crowds. Everyone seemed very authentic and friendly. I have already been recommending to my friends.

Awilda is a fantastic hair stylist. I ALWAYS walk out of her salon absolutely loving my hair. I tried some very upscale salons before I found Awilda and was most often dissappointed. Awilda is always consistent in her hair cuts and I am never dissappointed. I get tons of complements on my hair ever since I started going to Awilda, even strangers have asked for the name of my hair salon. I am so happy I found Awilda, now I don't have to stress out about bad hair days anymore.

I booked an appointment on Monday for Saturday. I brought pictures of my desired (drastic long to short) cut and cut to fit my own face shape. For less than $100, I got an effortless cut for which I am constantly complimented. As a mother of twin toddler boys, I needed something easy and wanted to get away from the constant ponytail. The cut is easy to maintain and really versatile depending on my mood. It has grown out now for a month and looks even better. My only caution is to leave plenty of time for the appointment. I had such a great time talking to Awilda and she spent so much time perfecting the cut that I didn't even realize 2 hours had passed by!
(P.S. There is a cafe a few stores down with a great Parisian brunch-style menu catered to your tastes and fabulous fresh-squeezed O.J.!)

I finally found a salon. I've tried a few salons in LA and have not been satisfied with my hair until I went to Sabrina. She fixed my hair color and gave me a fabulous cut. My hair hasn't ever looked this great.

I've known Awilda for over 20 years and she has been nothing but professional, kind and polite. She continuously demonstrates the ability to be incredibily talented with coloring, cutting and blow drying my tresses. Her salon is impeccably clean with a wonderful professional staff working with her to ensure that each and every client receives the highest level of service. The parking lot has plenty of spots for availability as well as street parking. The overhead music played at the salon is hip, funky, bluesy and jazzy all combined. Lastly, Awilda stocks a myriad of top products for the scalp, hair and body.

Awilda has been my colorist and stylist for 15 years. Not only is she a pleasure to know but, thanks to her, I love my hair. She did an amazing job with hair and make-up for my wedding, and ensures that my hair is a head-turner at special events. She also taught me tricks to achieve a great look myself for every day. Awilda Salon offers personalized service in a pleasant atmosphere, and I wouldn't entrust my hair to anyone else!

I love this salon! Being in the entertainment industry, I find I need to get my hair done at the last minute for parties and events. An associate told me about Awilda Salon and they were very accommading about getting me in at the last minute for a blow dry. I have long wavy hair and like to get it blown out super straight. It looked amazing for days and now I am hooked. Great manicures too. The ambiance is terrific too. Sort of a asian-minimalist look that is very tranquil.

I moved out here a few months ago and had to begin the search for a new stylist, as any lady knows this is a terrify time for us. We love our hair; its like an extension of us. Awildas Salon was recommended to be by my roommate who also uses Awildas Salon. It was easy to get an appointment, and once I got there everyone was wonderful! Awilda did a fantastic job with my hair. Id gotten my hair colored and cut before, but when I left I felt special, Id left with confidence. I knew I had found MY stylist!
