Baby Super & Rocker World

We drove to this store based on reviews here, only to find out they have been closed since Labor Day. They won't be reopening, so don't bother making the drive.

I'm not going to give them a star. Sure I liked the layout of the furniture. And yes, they were able to order it for me. However, getting it delivered has been a nightmare. I call will call weekly - after the furniture supposedly made it in. They told me the delivery people will call me to schedule. My furniture has sat in their store for two weeks. I am looking for an alternative. If you MUST shop here - don't expect your stuff to arrive on time and don't expect the delivery people to deliver.

Rude, short staffed, dirty store. Displays are awful. They do not meet my expectations. They specialize in over priced trendy baby gear.I have found one or two good deals in there in the last 12 years. I do not recommend them.

We have had a terrible experience with Baby Super, including:
- a broken crib which they would not take responsibility for, blaming it on "the manufacturer" even though the cardboard box was broken and taped up when it arrived. They eventually replaced the broken part, but it took countless frustrating phone calls and several months. At one point, a clerk told us that the records showed they still had not reached the manufacturer - meaning that we'd been waiting for months and no progress had been made to order the part. If we hadn't called in and insisted they act on it, we'd probably still be waiting for the part.
- we ordered a dutalier glider and we've been waiting for the cushion now for FOUR months, and it still hasn't arrived.
- We found the customer service to be terrible.. when we called in, we'd be put on hold sometimes for ten or more minutes and we'd have to hang up and call back. e.g. ten minutes ago I called, they put me on hold for 6 minutes, then picked up not knowing who I asked for. Or, they do not return telephone calls so you have to keep trying to call back to reach them, having to go through the same frustrations over and over again.
- They do not seem to put your records in a computer, so you have to talk to the person who is in the "gliders" or "cribs" department and that person is often not in. They'd tell us she'll call back the next day, but she or he never would.
- The management never apologized for all of the inconveniences, and seemed instead to be defensive, blamed it on the manufacturer, etc.

We are not people who complain but we were so frustrated by our experience at Baby Super at a time when we didn't need the added stress. We even considered taking them to court about the crib at one point because we were going to have to buy from somewhere else because our baby had arrived already.

Bottom line - I would NOT recommend shopping at Baby Super, and we will definitely never go there again.

One star, I'd give less if I could. This rating is coming 4 MONTHS after I placed my order, and 3 days before my baby's due date - did I mention I don't even have the furniture yet? This has been the MOST unprofessional furniture store I have ever dealt with, and if you've ever bought any type of furniture, you know that says a lot.

We placed our order exactly 4 mos ago, the estimated delivery date was 60-90 days (pretty standard). At 60 days I called, no order in...evidently it was back ordered, but no one called to inform us of this. After 90 days I called again, evidently the order was to be shipped to the east coast warehouse...after which it would take a few weeks for it to be delivered to San Jose and then to my house. OH and the crib and dresser, would not be shipped together.

Now at 120 days, I call AGAIN...bc you see, no one at this store (and I have been working with the manager, Mark, also the owner's son) has EVER called me directly, to tell me the status of our order. I find out my dresser is in San Jose, but no one called me to confirm a delivery date or even to give me the option of picking it up myself. I am told I will have to wait 2 MORE weeks for the delivery...THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHEN YOUR DUE DATE IS, IT IS PART OF YOUR RECORD. I also had a lengthy conversation with Mark, who said he would have it delivered as soon as it came in...again, I never even got a call.

My husband and I go in to speak in person to the manager...he is apologetic and back peddling and making up every excuse in the book for the unprofessional behavior, but has no leg to stand on. Agrees to have the dresser shipped immediately and is still trying to get the crib estimate.

At this point, there is nothing to do but wait. Maybe the stress and frustration will bring on labor...at least I'll get some satisfaction out of this horrible experience.

If you plan to go with this store, buy early and call often to keep tabs on them.

As a sidenote...I am shocked to see all the positive remarks on customer service here. Maybe these are legit, but I'd check out Yelp, bc they have the complete opposite opinions on service.

THIS IS A GREAT STORE! THEY CARRY SO MUCH, THE PRICES ARE GOOD AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING. THEY'RE SO HELPFUL I LOVE COMING HERE. THE STORE IS VERY NICE.

Nice selection and I send all our first time parents here to go test drive all the new baby stuff they are going to need to see if they like it.

Helpful staff, but the store can seem a little cluttered when it is busy.

This place has lots of gliders and rockers that you can sit in right in the store. The furniture seemed pretty expensive, but I like how they have lots of decorated rooms set up. In addition, they sell baby gear in general and the prices seem competitive.

Baby Super is one of the largest furniture stores for kids. They have a huge selection of furniture. They also have a friendly and helpful staff. One thing I like about this store is that they have over, I think, a hundred of decorated infant and kids rooms on display. So you are able to see exactly how you want to decorate the kids' rooms. Great store to browse in for good ideas to decorate.

This is a huge store selling everything you need for a nursery/child's room (plus strollers and car seats). The staff are exceptional - they know their stuff and are happy to spend time with you explaining what to look for in each product. Plus, each crib on display has a different bedding set - good to see what the bedding looks like in a crib before you buy.

This Baby Super Discount store have one of the biggest selection of baby and kids furniture in the area. They also carry rockers, strollers, bassinets, and any baby accessory you might need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They know the merchandise they are selling. The prices are similar to other big baby stores in the area. There is plenty of parking in front of the store.

This is the best place to buy nursery furniture. The staff are very knowledgeable, and don't push you to buy the most expensive items. They find out what your needs are and explain what to look for in cribs, changing tables, etc. They have a huge selection of gliders and the prices are very competitve. We've bought a few items from here and have always been satisfied with the service.

Baby Super and Rocker World has the friendliest staff and the biggest display of baby furniture in the Bay Area. They also have the best delivery prices around. Definitely worth the drive to visit this store!!
