MGC had us build an engine for him. Cam blanks were on national back order so it took 2 weeks longer to get one and have it custom ground. He had his friend install the engine and somehow a washer was dropped into the engine. Why they did not stop the engine is beyond us. By the time we were able to look at the engine it had flattened to a small tick noise like a lifter. So we replaced the roller lifters. It still had a slight tick and we called Comp Cams. They informed us that new rollers will tick for a little while and then quite down. We passed this on to MGC. The noise didn??t stop so we pulled the engine ourselves and found the washer imbedded into the piston. To keep our good name we repaired the engine not knowing of this posting. We spent $1500 to keep our good name even though MGC??s buddy caused the damage. As stated, we did not know of this posting and feel we were mislead until the teardown occurred. As for the man in the front, we had sold the Auto Repair part of the business to another man. He wanted to use our name and being nave to selling businesses, we agreed. He did more damage and had more bad things said in 6 months than we had in 43 years of business. Thank god the BAR closed him down and we are now trying to stop the damage to our name. We did not cause it and it represents just the opposite of everything that we have strived to do. Repeat client business is our staple and we regard it in the highest esteem. Please ask others about us. We do the very best we can and we error on the side of the client in cases like this. Thanks,
Joe

I don't have enough space in this box to write a complete review. I had my engine rebuilt by the machine shop. It took them 2 weeks longer than they said it would. I installed the engine in my truck and it knocked like crazy. I towed it at my expense back to their shop. they had it for another week. When I got my truck back, the engine was still noisy, they said it would go away after the break in period. It did not go away. I took it back again and they said they would replace the lifters. They had it for another week. When I picked the truck up again, the engine was still noisy, I could tell they did nothing but replace the oil to try and quiet the engine. I was so upset, all I wanted was what I ahd paid for!. I paid 4,000 dollars for that "custom" rebuild and I could tell something was not right. The noise kept getting progressively worse. I brought the truck in multiple times and they told me each time that the noise was normal. Well now the noise is a knock! I called them back and they said I have to pull the engine before they do any work on it. I can't believe it. they are complete jerks when you try and talk to them, especially the guy at the front desk in the automotive repair part of the building. I can tell that they are just trying to screw me over and will not admit to their mistakes or take responsibility. Oh yeah, I got my i pod stolen one of the times they had my truck, i forgot about in the glove compartment when i dropped it off, now its gone and nobody their has seen it. Unbelievable. The absolute worst experience i have ever had with a company. F ing nightmare!

These guys are horrible to deal with if you are a female. They are very condescending. I had my car towed there because it died and not only would they not tow it back to my house when I didn't want the work done, but they charged me for every day they had it there even though they parked it on a public street, not in their shop area. I paid over $800 to get the timing belt done then they told me it was running really rough because of spark plugs. I took it to another shop and its not the spark plugs, its the crappy job they did on my timing belt so my car could throw a piston. Now I have to go back THERE to get them to fix it which I'm sure they wont. These guys are rude and they over charge you and they will lie/cheat/ whatever they have to do to rob you or as much money as possible. AND not fix your car.
