I moved to area about 4 months ago and Priscilla's is my favorite place to go in Toluca Lake.

It has a great feel, the staff is so friendly, and the coffee is consistently amazing. I've tried their gourmet blends which range in the $4 range, but have I've switched to their "regular" Swiss coffee which has the same exactly great taste specialty blends (especially the Mocha) except for two bucks less. What a great buy!

For $2.70 I can have a 20 oz gourmet coffee without the $4.50 price tag. You'll be hard pressed to find of that quality at Starbucks for a "regular" coffee that taste just like a Mocha.

What's also great about this place is the coffee is never bitter. EVER. I was also surprised how incredibly caffeinated this coffee was without the strong taste of an espresso. It's taste incredibly light which only adds to the beauty of how well they make their coffee here.

The downside is that they do get rather crowded. But Toluca Lake is really beautiful were you can just take you coffee with you and walk down Riverside DR. and look at all the boutique shops.

But I highly recommend their Swiss coffee (mixture of coffee, chocolate, and milk.cream) a 20oz for $2.70. It's the best value for your money.

If you want something a little more gourmet try their Mint Mocha (around $4.00) or their orange coffee, both are fantastic!

Pros: consistent, strong without being bitter, friendly staff

Cons: crowded at times, not enough parking

This is a great coffee house. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Super tasty coffee drinks. Good assortment of loose teas and coffee beans. Interesting array of people. Lots of stars come here from nearby studios. Have seen Miley Cyrus, Mel Gibson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Candace Bergen and others. Great place to people watch or just relax.

What a wonderful little coffee house - warm, inviting, absolutely charming! Sitting inside, you get the feeling you're in a coffee house not surrounded by cement and buildings, but on a very expansive green grassy lawn. Very good lattes - especially the Raspberry latte! Friendly personable staff! The walls and counters contain great gifts and the cutest cards! My friends and I rate this coffee house our favorite.

I absolutely love Priscilla's and go there almost every day. Their baristas are extremely cool, very polite and super friendly. None of them ever gave me any attitude or was rude.
There are a lot of industry people come there to write whatever they are writing on their laptops but it does not bother me at all. What crowd can you expect if the coffee shop is located pretty much across the street from the studios?!
I like their coffee. It is much better than Starbucks.
It can get a little bit crowded on weekends but i've never waited too long to get a table.
Never had problems finding parking either.

I'm actually pretty surprised to read some of the negative comments in this section. This is a great spot for all of the reasons you go to a coffee shop: free internet, great coffee, yummy pastries, great people watching, and a place to sit and read, write or meet with a friend. I know people who move away from the area and long for a place like this. It's really a sweet spot to hang out. It's true...very industry...but it's not pretentious. I think it's pretty ironic when people live, oh, 3 blocks from 5 major studios and complain that it feels too "industry". If you don't like the vibe, then move to Northridge or Simi Valley...there's plenty of vanilla strip mall suburbia waiting for you.

Honestly, still the best Hot Chocolate around...and I'm quite an experienced coffee house girl. Priscilla's is a refreshing space in our city of Starbucks lined streets. Enjoy!

Yes, it's full of industry people writing screenplays, but it's a great little coffeeshop. I've always had excellent service from the staff, and they've got a great variety of drinks and snacks (really good croissant sandwiches and pastries, although they're better earlier in the day). A coffeeshop that makes hot apple cider always gets a good grade in my book :) Most of the patrons are friendly and will strike up conversations out of the blue, and I've even seen people offer up an empty seat at their table to a stranger when it's crowded. If you're looking to break away from the chain coffeeshops in the area, this is the place.

During a vacation to L.A. week before last, we went to Priscilla's one day prior to the Emmys. The coffee was delicious, the atmosphere cozy. And, we saw 2 stars! One was an older gentleman who for years played REX STERLING on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. I can't recall his real name, unfortunately. The other one was KATHERINE HEIGL from GRAY'S ANATOMY. The following Sunday she won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series! So, besides the great coffee and surroundings, you never know who you may see! We'll definitely be back!

If you enjoy attitude, this is the place! It is hard to tell who is more important, the customers or the employees! Brush up on your sarcasm and anger!! Fight to be the one to manipulate other people! Remember, you are in the thick of creativity here!!!

Ok, so I'm one of those 'regulars' the other reviewers are talking about - so obviously I love the place. It's a great place to get coffee and get some work done. I often bring in homework or papers to grade, so it isn't all 'industry' folk as some people have described. I've even attended knitting/crocheting circles that meet at there.

It's a cute gift shop, too, and the shelves that line the walls are filled with mugs and teapots, and painted plates and bowels and other random little gifts like that. They've even got an old 2-player Pac Mac game around the corner by the bathroom.

They recently began offering free wireless internet and all the tables along the walls have access to electrical outlets for laptops, etc.

Overall, I highly recommend Priscillas if you're in the area and looking for a place to grab coffee and sit for a few hours working, studying, or gabbing with a friend. The coffee itself is probably the same you can get anywhere, but the atmosphere feels a lot more homey than your regular chain stores.

If you have to have a drink among the cinema cognoscenti, then Priscilla's is the place to be. Situated a mere stone's throw from Warner Bros., this place is all about country charm and an OK cup of joe. With a varied menu selection and street parking, Priscilla's is a good alternative to the McCoffee places of the world!

PROS: plenty of indoor and outdoor seating
CONS: coffee drinks marginally better than Starbucks, ambivalent staff

This coffeehouse is basically the only well known one in Burbank, so if you're meeting someone after work and you're right around the corner at NBC, Universal, etc., it's an easy spot to get to - plus if you're meeting half way with someone coming over the hill. The drinks are pretty basic, nothing really special about them and parking is a pain. They do a have a Miss Pac Man atari game in the back though, which is fun and rare to find. If you find yourself here, sit outside under the trees with the white lights at night. Cool vibe...

BUT! If you're really into coffeehouses, there are MUCH cooler ones. This one doesn't even have music, which stinks.

Located right near Riverside and Warner Brothers Studios, Pricilla's is a great place to meet up with people. It's hard to find parking sometimes because it's so crowded. Whether you feel like being inside or outside, Pricilla's creates a great atmosphere for meetings. Also, their drinks are really good and reasonably priced.

Just a stone's throw away from Warner Brothers, Priscilla's is a nice, independent change from the usual Starbucks & Coffee Bean. They have outdoor seating on their patio, accented with nice white Christmas lights, and their coffee is very good. This is a great, quiet place to take a friend and share some coffee when you don't want to be surrounded by studying college students at the usual coffee shops!

I went here for the first time to meet up with a friend of mine and I probably won't ever go back.
The place has a very homey vibe but the parking is so hard to find. I think it took me like 10 minutes to find parking. The coffee was not that great and the price was way to high.
Overall I dont think I would go back unless they changed their parking structure

Makers of the best blended coffee drink I've had (the mint mocha) and home to annoying "bizz" folk in full Tevas + socks, whirring laptop glory. Their regulars really are that -- I think some of these guys stake out tables at 9AM and only get up to flirt with the counter girls every hour or so. And no, the vaguely homespun/your aunt's kitchen decor doesn't distract (or comfort) quite enough to make up for it. Still, love that mint mocha.

I used to have that other chain coffee all of the time, but once I experienced Priscilla's coffee I will never go back. Nothing beat's their fresh coffee and the fun environment. It's kind of funny how the other chain shop is across the street and is never busy, but there is always people in Priscilla's.

It's all about the ambiance, because there is nothing to the drinks or the service. I've had better mochas with a glass of hot water and a hershey's kiss, watered down and oh so bland. The place looks nice, but you are surrounded by wanna -be's and never-will-be's.

Why do I always feel like I'm the only person in here without a script? Literally everyone that goes there has some big thing they're working on. If they aren't plugged into a laptop, then they're on the edge of their seat waiting for the cell phone to ring. It's a nice place for good coffee and all, but the atmosphere is sometimes a bit too "industry."
