Hong Kong Chinese Bakery

I love chinese cakes because they are very light and sweet. Ilike this bakery for the same reason. They prepare cakes that are light with whipped cream icing and not too sweet like american cakes. They offer lots of other chinese bakery products too. I really love their pastries.

Hong Kong Bakery provides lots of great sweets that include cakes, traditional Chinese desserts, rice tomales, buns and dim sum. Food is fresh and tasty.

reasonably good Chinese pastries, steamed buns and limited dim sum things. The cakes are nice in that they are not too sweet, not too heavy. Lots of fresh fruit and light sponge cake with whipped cream. Prices reasonable

I sometimes shop at Hong Kong Chinese Bakery for their dim sum items. I like their steamed pork buns the best because you can get them still warm. They also have many sweet items like custard buns and egg tarts which I like. Their cakes too are pretty good and not too sweet just the way I like them.

I recall being very excited about finding this bakery in 1999 as I did not know of many places that sells Hong Kong style pastries and dim sum dishes. Unfotunately, the food I've tried there are all below standard. I tried their egg custard tart, their white sugar cake, and many others, but I have to say that I could not help feeling disappointed about this bakery and that my money could have been better spent at an actual dim sum restaurant.
