My wife and I make Flower Flour a weekend breakfast ritual and often a mid-day snack of lunch stop. The staff are friendly and engaging, the ambience is wonderful and the food is often organic, locally grown from Mimmie's garden and delicious.

The cafe is small and can fill up, but the wait is not too long usually and worth it.

All of the pastries are great. Let me repeat that: all of the pastries are great. You haven't lived until you have had their morning buns, or three. Best croissants ever, especially the chocolate ones. Ready-made cakes are great too. For lunch so far I've only had their paninis which were delicious. Not a place for dieters, keep out! Never ordered a formal cake so can't say much. Flower store part adds so much to the atmosphere and blends in so well you forget you're in a part flower store while you nibble away in a cozy indoor garden. Small place but it's never been packed so always managed to grab a seat and casually eat breakfast with my daughter.

We ordered a wedding cake for a special 50th anniversary celebration and we were very disappointed. The cake was crumbly and dry. Probably the worst cake I've ever tasted. To top it off we provided a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like and it was nothing like the picture we provided. This bakery was highly recommended but not the experience we had.

I had Flower Flour do my cake and flowers for my recent wedding. I admit that I had a few changes to my flower requests but on my last meeting with the owner, I thought with all the written down notes, that we had the same game plan. I had asked for mostly "Pale" pink and maybe a few white flowers in my centerpieces and bouquets. For the cake I had shown her some handmade cake jewelry branches I wanted to use. She told me they'd look better in my hair and she didn't want to put them on the cake because they'd look terrible without the flowers and I just gave in. When I showed up the day before to drop them off she was very excited to show me the start of my bouquets that were purple, fushia, white, dark green and purple filler flowers and a few giant wilted looking pinkish roses. I asked that she not put the purple or green flowers in there and I'd ignore the fushia ones. She called later to make sure she could still use the purple in the centerpieces. I told her no and her response was that she was going to have to scrounge up pink flowers to replace them. She still ended up putting the green filler flowers in the centerpieces anyway. The bouteniers and corsages were huge, heavy and very outdated. I had to adjust my own bouquet due to the odd wide shape of it. I'm confused at how the communication was so badly misunderstood. Even with all my flower changes I still had always wanted mostly or all pale pink flowers with a little bit of white. I even specifically said no fushia. I was extremely dissappointed with the flowers and the owners lack of listening skills. My cake ended up looking overgown with giant wilty flowers all over it with just a little bit of my cake jewelry showing underneath them and a huge split in the icing on the front of the bottom layer.
The cake tasted great so she gets 1 star, but the split is in all the pictures.
I had high hopes for Flower Flour with all the great press in the paper but I was deeply dissapointed in the actual results

What is not to love about Flower Flour. Quaint location, yummy food, awesome desserts, great service, and wonderful owners.

I'm at Flower Flour once a week on average. I think I've tried almost everything on their lunch menu and most of their yummy desserts. It's worth every calorie!

If I'm looking for a special dessert, this is where I go. Their Flower Flour chocolate cake is a dense rich dark chocolate cake that was a hit at the recent birthday party that I brought it to.

Often I will meet friends there in the afternoon for a pot of tea, or a delicious coffee drink, along with a slice of cake or a warm cup of terrific freshly made soup. The casual tables throughout the shop make it an inviting place for a meal.

Flower Flour is THE place for dessert. I don't even bother making it anymore. The cakes are spectacular, and always a favorite with my guests. Plus, they do individual desserts so you can make everyone happy at the table! They do a "love after dark" chocolate cake that is to die for! It's gorgeous and delicious. Lunch is great here too. Yummy salads and sandwiches are beautifully presented. And don't miss the morning cinnamon bun. I would skip chocolate for it!

This is the cutest little bakery and flower shop. It's like visiting a little bakery in France. The flowers add so much flair and color and the desserts are to die for. Really a treat in the little village of Willow Glen.

i stopped in to get a coffee while on a walk, but the shop was very cute, and the idea is awesome, makes me wish I had thought of it first. The service was wonderful, casual, but professional. Bravo!

...are some of the best in the San Jose area; the Pear Torte, and the chocolate dipped macaroons are incredible! A fun, unusual atmosphere combining an upscale but not stuffy floral retail shop surrounding some of the most flavorful and beautiful desserts around. Sit outside and watch Willow Glen go about its day. For the true patisserie connoisseur, Mimi's artful reticence with both butter and chocolate will astound. The tortes are the perfect dinner party gift, no matter what the host is serving!
