This is best stated as a golfers golf course. It challenges you off the tee, makes you think hard about your next shot, has some epic golf holes, some greens that are totally trecherous and is perfect to walk (not ride, never).

At the end of the day you do not find a place that is a more pure muni golf course. The greens roll true, the company is generally solid and you can jump out on the course, play 18, grab a couple post round beers and go home for about $40

Pros: Lightning Fast Greens

This is a nine hole course on the southern tip of San Francisco, near the Cow Palace. The course itself is pretty good, for being in the city and for the price. It is probably the best value for the dollar in SF, kind of a traditional parkland course with lots of trees and ok maintenance. The catch is that the area, Visitacion Valley, is super scary to drive through and you wouldnt want to get out and wander around too long with your wallet and Ipod. You wouldnt know it once you get to the course though, which seems remote from the surrounding area.
