Franklin Elementary School

Franklin Elementary goes from K -6th grade (although they are talking about making it to 8th grade). It is downtown close to Mercy hospital. The school is smaller then some of the schools in Bakersfield but I feel that the kids get better quality learning here then at bigger schools. One of my children already goes here with another due to start in a few months. Even when my son has gotten into trouble, they have handled it really well and notified me quickly. They have field trips and sometimes have a school carnival. They have an afterschool program that is free for students in 1st grade and up.

PROS: Close to hospital, small school, after school program.
