My husband and I have been to almost every flea market in this area. A different one every Sunday of the month. The PCC one is by far our favorite. Admission is free compared to $5-$8 per person at others. The selection is huge! We always find something, whether it was what we were looking for or not. We love the booths that sell used books for $1 each! If you're into flea markets, you gotta check this one out.

Pros: free admission

Cons: long drive from Costa Mesa

The parking lots are not FREE, I made this mistake and got a $25 ticket. That said, in the garage it's $2 to park, you have to buy the ticket from one of the ticket machines. The flea market is FREE to attend, and you will find good deals. Two lots outside and three levels in the parking garage which is great during hot sunny days.

I went to get a red rug and believe it or not I found it. The price was right and the lady was very nice. The parking is ok, but the day was wonderful. I love my new rug!

Don't Go! This flea market got revamped in a BAD way! To shop there, you need to make your way thru many obstacles to reach each 6 selling lots! There's two outside lots, but are hard to get to because of curbs, and speedbumps you must cross, also the constant flow of cars coming in on this driveway, so be careful not to get runned down. There is a parking garage with four selling levels, and POOR air ventilation. The first few hours of the flea market, is cars coming in with the exhaust fumes not disapatting, the odor of the diesel fuels, as well as other harmful agents remain in the air. Sellers keep rolling into the parking garages well after 8am, and the garage remains an unpleasant enviroment to be exposed to. The garage is lighted, but actual sunlight would aid better to determine the actual condition of the antiques. Bathroom access is a nightmare. There are several restrooms available, and they are nice enough, but are quite a trek to go to. Also the doors are heavy, and difficult to open, then you have to go down hallways to access a restroom. If you're handicapped, don't go, don't let the access ramps fool you, it's still a challenge to access all of the selling lots, and bathrooms. There's elevators to access the 4-floors, but they are only in one corner, and there are lines to use them. So stair climbing is a must. I also don't reccommend this flea market to the elderly, it's very easy for them to trip on the curbs outside to the outside selling lots. I shopped there on July 1, 2007 from 5am to 9:30am, and I was so physically sick from having breathed in the exhaust fumes, I'm fit, and aged 39, and will not come back. I feel sorry for the sellers to sell in such an ugly, unhealthful enviroment. I hope people ban together and complain to the city of Pasadena about this flea market, it seems like some kind of accident waiting to happen.

This venue is smaller than the Rose Bowl flea market, and you can only catch it once a month, but there's still a lot of ground to cover and bargains abound at this place. The refreshment tents have awesome food, but it can get kinda warm outside. Overall, a good experience.

I much prefer PCC over the gigantic Rose Bowl Flea Market. While PCC is much smaller, it still takes several hours to meander through the vendors located in two outdoor parking lots and one floor of the parking garage. The vendors offer an eclectic mix of collectibles, including clothing, jewelry, records, kitchenware, books, and furniture. Admission is free and the market is held the first Sunday of every month. Be sure to grab lunch at one of the refreshment tents-- the grilled pork kebobs are delicious.

I went to PCC right after high school and had a wonderful experience. The classes and professor truly care about the subjects they teach and it shows. The campus is beautiful especially the mirror pool in front of the school and there are always some events going on in the quad that you'll find interesting. I have long since transferred, but I still miss all the people I've met there and will always have a fond memory of my time there.

I attended this school for 2 years. It was a wonderful school. The proffesors are all great. Most of them teach part time at UCLA as well. The campus is clean and beautiful. the library is large and gives you a pleasant feeling. Good luck trying to get a counsling appointment right before the new semester starts. Although there is one counslor that is worth the wait. She is the most requested counslor and she always has a great big smile on her face, never hesitates to help or give advice. Go see Janis Dwyer. The proffesors are really incredible. Unlike some schools, the people who teach here do not think alike, they have everything from conservative teachers to liberals. Although you might be thinking, it is a classroom, why should it even matter? well it does, if you have been to any other school, even if you say it shouldnt matter what they beleive, it will come through in the way they speak or teach. Other than that, its the best junior college in the state.

Considering it's a junior college, I was very pleased with the summer course I took there. It is much cheaper than a regular UC or private school. You'll end up paying about $22 per unit as opposed to a couple hundred per unit elsewhere. The class I took was well taught and the professor was intelligent, which sadly enough, isn't always the case it seems. The campus itself is well managed and has an impressive library. They added a new parking structure to help with the parking crunch. The surrounding area has a lot to offer in terms of food options.

I took a summer course (biochem) here to fulfill one of my requirements to continue school. It was pretty easy given that I took similar course in the past at my alma mater. I could ace the class even without a textbook, solely on classroom notes. If you put in your best effort, you can get really good results grade-wise. What I liked about the prof was that he tried to relate the study material to the things we use in our daily lives. There were some cheats in the classroom, but most of the students were really nice. It was a good experience.

pasadena city college as a community college is pretty decent. the facilities are great and the library is tremendously efficient. there are more than enough books available and it is fairly easy to request the library to purchase books that you would like to have access to. the classrooms are in good shape and so are the other facilities, including restrooms, cafeterias, water fountains, etc.

Beautiful campus, beautiful library, slightly awkward location. This place caters a lot to the community though, so it is actually a service to the locals. I do not attend but I have used their library for research and it is first class.

I have been going to this school for 2 years, and yes, the most terrible two years I have!
Campus is urban beautiful, and other than that I can't find anything good about this school! Terrible parking, you need to get there two hours early to look for parking and it depends on if you are lucky enought. Staffs are rude and mean, they ignore you most of time and doing their own things, that included talking personal phone call while there is a long line waitting for help. Classes are always overloaded, very hard to get class and some professors don't really care much about students. The food is terrible and expensive, book sell extremly expensive and can't return only YOU DROP THE CLASS. There is always car get steal in the school - 7 of my friends' car are gone, as far as I heard in my school year.

PROS: beautiful campus
CONS: Terrible parking, bad security in parking, low on classes, mean & rude campus stuff, expensive book with a rediculas return policy, expensive cost.

Before I went to PCC, I was an honor student and I had 3 scholarships. At PCC, I received two F's and 3 D's because some teachers were threatened by my abilities. Other teachers would "dumb down" their material. It took me 5 years to get my AA because their career guidance counselors were so ineffective.

Large, centrally-located campus, beautiful library. Strong music program. If you wish to improve as a serious vocalist enter their program plus audition for their perfomance choirs. The music is challenging and rewarding. The directors are professional and terrific. Language and Math Departments are top notch too. Counselors: Janice Dwyer is one of the best counselors to work with.

Please note that this review is specifically geared toward the EMT training program.

I am a health professional who wanted to prepare for a specific "on the field" job. I decided to take the EMT training program to enhance my emergency management skills beyond basic CPR and first aid. I did not know when enrolling that PCC offers an EMT training program that is almost always rated among the top 3 in the State. The program is suprisingly intense, requiring 16-weeks of Saturday attendance (8 hours per day), 3 Sundays and a few independantly-scheduled ambulance ride-alongs. But the demands are well worth the reward. I emerged from the program able to easily pass the EMT certification exam. More importantly, I feel very confident in my emergency health skills. The instructors are all very well-qualified; they are good speakers and talented demonstrators, interacting clearly with each student. The exams are fair and test important componants of emergency management. All assignments are clear an

This junior college I would recommend for excellent service. Despite the school handling a large amount of students, they are efficient and friendly and try to respond quickly to questions related to classes. Beside their classes, they have a great computer lab that is open almost all day for students to utilize. For anyone looking to go back to school or take refresher courses, I think this college is a good place to start.

Beautiful campus. Wide array of classes. They've done a lot of construction there in the past five years and it looks great. Not only is it a college, but they have not for credit courses you can take in a variety of areas. I've taken quite a few and the teachers are usually working in that field so they are great.

One more in the long chain of city colleges in california, this is a fantastic place to learn about stuff they don't teach you down the street at 'tech. You can learn about welding, machining, auto mechanics, and all kinds of other cool stuff. The classes were, last time I checked, $11 per unit, which is unbeatable.

Antiques are great and all but I look forward to this swap meet for one reason... the music.
On the east side of the college the parking lot that runs along Colorado & Bonnie is always packed with the music vendors and its hard not to find something short of a great deal. Everything from vinyl to concert video's can be found. The vendors can be strange at times but friendly and informative none the less.
