Although the office in Valencia is brand new, the staff was unfriendly and terse. Dr. Elie recommended a partial crown that had to be fitted 3 times. After the final fitting, he failed to check for high spots.

When I complained about the improper fitting, I waited for 4 hours for him to return and complete the work. In total, I spent 5 hours with cleaning.

I do not recommend Dr. Arash Elie for any dental work. He did not spend time on the consult and dental crown fitting. Avoid.

I want to make it very clear that I am only writing regarding the office off of McBean Pkwy, NOT the Old Road where my regular dentist is. I got to the office like 5 minutes late, so I was worried that would put me behind. Come to find out I could've arrived 2 hours later and still wouldn't have been seen! I had to fill out some paper work, which is fine. But, I wasn't called into the office for almost 40 minutes. Then, once I was in the room, it was another 15-20 minutes for someone to realize I needed X-rays and impressions. Then I waited a while to be numbed. Once Dr. Soleheim (or however you spell it) came in to finally numb me, I thought we were getting the ball rolling. It was 12:30 at this point, my appointment was for 11:00. I know because I have the texts I sent my fiance'. At 1:07, yes 2 hours later, they still hadn't started! I found out that he and Dr. Yuen went to lunch!!! Can you believe it?? They numbed me up, then left to lunch! Then when Dr. Yuen finally attended to me, she numbed me up again "just to make sure I wouldn't feel anything." I wouldn't have felt anything if you started 45 minutes ago after I was first numbed! So, she finally got started and was shooting the breeze with the assistant the entire time. She even mentioned where she and Dr. Soleheim went to lunch. Meanwhile, I had been waiting for 2 hours. I also don't want to listen to their private lives either. I felt like she was so into her conversation that she wasn't paying attention to me. She ended up hitting my upper teeth more than 3 times with the instrument she was using. I jerked the last time because it was kind of hard, and she said, "Oh don't be scared." I was like "I'm not scared, that's not the problem.'

This was by far the worst "professionalism" I have ever encountered as far as health goes. The only bright side is the front office, who is professional and helpful and competent. I regret, now, that I agreed to use this office because my treatment has just begun, and I have to go back there a few more times.

It takes a LOT from me to write a review or complaint. I think I've written maybe 2. But, seriously, lunch???? While I'm waiting there numb??? So ridiculous!! This office will never be recommended by me, in fact, I plan on telling everyone how horrible it was. And, I plan on complaining to an administrator as well.

LUNCH??????? I can't get over it!

Absolutely amazing service! I spent a fortune to get Lumineers done and Dr. Karabell did them for me. He is awesome. I liked my former dentist there, Dr. Parks. He moved to another location. I was disappointed to see him go so I gave Dr. Karabell a hard time. He is so nice and efficient. He takes his time and does a really good job. Now it's like, "Who the heck is Dr. Parks?" I really like Dr. Karabell and I am recommending him to everyone. I hate the dentist and he makes the experience pleasant and actually something to look forward to. I have never found a dentist to call "my own" and I know that I have found that with Dr. Karabell. Highly recommended.

I find it interesting that all the negative reviews I read about this place and the one I recently posted is now gone. Hmmm. Hopefully the ones they left on will be enough to discourage more people from patronizing this place. They are total rip offs.

After reading these reviews I guess nothing has changed I used to go to this crappy dental office for 3 years while I had braces. I loved the orthodontist. He was only there 2 days a week and I'm sure he's retired, this was 5 years ago and he was in his 70's.However the dental practice is a joke. I intially went there because it was on my insurance list, and I realized after several treatments, the wait was outrageous, I had a different dentist everytime and each one was fresh out of dental school. One time I had a dentist who was called in from a temp agency! He did a filling for me and didn't numb me completely he kept saying he was in a hurry to get back home to san diego! He left my mouth so sore! I never complained because I was young and didn't know any better. He talked to the asst the entire time about how he was called in as a temp and had to drive so far blah blah, the idiot that owns this practice looks like a pedafile alcoholic. I forgot but his last name its starts with a w, he's rude and yells at his staff. This place should be shut down. After moving to las vegas,nv and getting great, professional dental care I realized what a complete joke this office was. I never wait at my dental office, I see the same dentist everytime, red rock dental in summerlin, las vegas sooo wonderful, they should train these idiots at valencia dental..trust me I wasted soo much time and money there...stay away!! Find a place where you will see the same dentist, stay away from groups. Groups of idiots ran by a pedafile alcoholic.

very disappointing, i was there last week, and it was a big chaos, everyone didnt know what they were doing, everytime i asked a question regarding my treatment presented the lady would go into a glass office and they would laugh and then come back to me and say the same thing i had just asked more information about, when i asked who the supervisor was they said Soraya the lady in the glass office ofcourse. I would not go back there even if they gave me the treatment for free. be careful they are disorganized and VERY RUDE!!!! i should have listened to my friends who warned me about this office. Stay away!

I was there last week, and GEEZ! all these people complaining are crazy! Yes, there was a little wait, but they were really prompt by letting me know as soonest i walked in. They kept checking on me to see if i was okay and giving me updates on how long it was going to take, once i was inside the assistant taking my xrays was really gentle and fast, the wait for the doctor was minimal, once he came in he also apologized for the wait, and asked me if there was anything bothering me or if i was in pain. We did the exam together, since they have the xrays right in front of you on the screen, he explained everything to my understanding and recommended some treatment, when the "money lady" came in she explained to me what my insurance covered and what was elective (cosmetic), i didn't feel any pressure on needing to do the upgrades, but at least they gave me my options. My experience was really good, better than the last ones i have at OTHER dental offices. I would DEFINITELY recommend this office to anyone.

I am a person that usually hates going to the dentist because of bad experiences from previous dentists. I was recommended to go to Valencia Dental for a terrible tooth pain that i had for a few months. I was in pain during the weekend, i called their office and the call center was able to get my information for the dentist to call me. On Monday they were able to accommodate me in their schedule. I saw Dr Elie and i was really impressed with all the technology they had, which i had never seen at any other place before. He was able to explain all the procedures that were needed with the visual aid of a computer screen with several pictures of my own teeth. I actually had the choice of different quality crowns to choose from and they even had samples for me to see the different quality they offer. The staff was really friendly, provided personal service which made me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a good experience with a great Dentist.

I was a little skeptical to go here in the 1st place having been told by multiple coworkers of mine that they are big into over-charging, making recommendations for unnecessay treatment and up-selling treatments that are a necessity but since I just had to go in for a regular cleaning that was covered 100% by my insurance I wasn't too worried. WOW! Big mistake! I was told be the dentist that a "regular cleaning" would not be beneficial to me and that I needed a "deep cleaning and gum therapy" to the tune of over $700.00. When I declined the treatment and again asked for the regular cleaning that I had come in for I was told that it would be "a waste of time for everyone involved" and after more than an hour had to leave.... without ever having my teeth cleaned. To top if off the girls at the front desk (Maria, again) were really nasty to me when I told them that I would not be returning and that I would like to have my current x-rays so that I could take them to another dentist. They told me that all x-rays and records were property of Valencia Dental and that they were not under any contract to give them to patients who chose to seek treatment elsewhere. In the end I felt like going here was just a big waste of my time. I never received x-rays, even after they said that they would mail them out to me nor had my teeth cleaned. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST TO ANYONE!!!!

I picked Valencia Dental through my insurance (Blue Cross) as a contracted provider. Having had some serious pain in one of my teeth for some time I wasn't really expecting to hear "good" news from the dentist but what I went through here was FAR WORSE than I could of ever imagined! After being told by the dentist that I needed between $7,000- $11,000 worth of dental work (some necessary, most cosmetic) I informed Dr. Mylene Nguyen that I had just gotten married and had recently relocated and that, that was just not in my budget. I told her that I would like to get a root canal and a crown put on the main tooth that was causing me problems (Any one who has ever had a root canal can attest to the kind of pain that you are in prior to treatment.) and that we would just gradually have to work towards the other stuff as the funds became available. There was a complete change of attitude in all of the office staff the moment that I said that I wouldn't be considering the excessive treatment any time in the near future. Immediately the financial counselor came in and informed me that to do the root canal I would 1st have to agree to have the most expensive crown offered (the 24K gold one NOT covered by my insurance) before I could receive treatment. Not being able to explain to me any difference between the crown they recommended and the crown that I chose except that theirse would "PROBABLY have a life time span" and mine would "PROBABLY have to be replaced in 5-10 years". I stuck to my guns and said that I would take my chances with the $795 crown and declined the $1200. Needless to say after a much heated argument they refused to do the root canal unless I agreed to the crown they "recommended" and I left in complete agony. Having such a bad experience I chose to take Advil for the pain over the next 4-5 months & just ignore the problem until I had more money to fix it. Then I became very ill and after more time and money spent seeing my PCP for countless tests I was told that the infection in my tooth had gotten so bad that it was causing my immune system to completely break down trying to fight it off allowing me to break out in a case of Shingles (the virus is carried by any one who has ever had Chicken Pox, which I had 20+ years ago) followed about a month later by diagnosed active Epstein Barr virus (which is carried by, but not active in 95% of people) and that with the infection being so close to my brain that it could eventaully be life threatening. He wrote me an emergency recommendation to have the tooth treated ASAP. Again I was off to Valencia Dental (I know, I know. Why go back? I got what I deserved!) and this time WITHOUT even seeing the dentist or being taken to a treatment room the same thing happened all over again. This time MARIA from the front desk who has NO medical training other than billing & insurance took the doctor roll upon herself and told me that I would either get the expensive crown or that I would not receive treatment. She was extremely RUDE, UN-COOPERATIVE and showed a complete lack of COMPASSION for a patient who was in pain, even as she held a doctor recommendation in her hand saying that I HAD TO HAVE THE ROOT CANAL if nothing else!!! The office manager's final comment as I was walking out for the SECOND time, untreated and in tears of sheer frustration and defeat was that maybe I "should just get a second opinion with a dentist that I could afford." As someone who has worked in the health care field before. I found the attitude of the employees and the "practices" of this office to be completely unacceptable and border line law-breaking. I have reported them to Blue Cross and a current investigation is pending. I'm only writing this review to ask citizens of Santa Clarita why any one would want to go to a dentist who cares more about how much money they can make off of their patients than their actual health & well being? Not to mention when it comes to your physical person everyone should be allowed to make their own choices. At Valencia Dental the "recommendation" of the front office staff is obviously your ONLY option.

Both my husband and I made appts on the same day. We both waited beyond 30 minutes, then they told us they couldn't do the cleaning. We though okay they must be really swamped. They fixed a small cavity my hubby had, and told him he could use some other work not covered by our insurance. They rescheduled his cleaning. He went back and still waited about 20 minutes, only to be told it would be another 30 to have the cleaning.
When I went in they told me I had some problems with old fillings, and that those have to fixed, which I don't doubt. They also told me I need a special cleaning for my gums, that my insurance doesn't pay for and that they will not do a regular cleaning at all until I do that. I told them I would not be able to pay for it for about a year or more, and they said no to the cleaning. Now this is not the dentist saying no this is the head office manager Maria.
I called another dentist and they said yes I should still have my regular cleaning until I can afford the other, but Valencia dental charged me for my regular exam so now my insurance wont' cover another one. I have tried several times to contact them and work this out, but they refuse. Instead they have sent in multiple pre-authorization to my insurance for the other dental work.

Worst experience in my life! Dentist are okay, they wanted my husband to pay $5,000.00 for some procedures and Ortho I have nothing againt the dentist, but the Lady in charged of the paper work Maria needs current continuing education. She needs to learn how to treat a patient with respect, courtesy and dignity. They need prompt appointment scheduling.
We are battling now for my daughter to be treated for her braces for now we have been refused to be treated until we sign papers. I very disappointed for all we had to go through with this office it could have been easy fixed, but the lady in charge acts if it her way and patients have no rights and we must do what the dentist says to do. When u go for a cleaning visit and wait over 30 minutes and they dont even clean your teeth is ridiculous!

PROS: Clean,
CONS: Go with gut instinct when it smell bad it must be rotten

After relocating from the South Bay, I needed to find a new Dentist. I chose this group out of my list of providers from my insurance company.

The cleaning procedure was okay, but I wasn't impressed by the staff or their need to sell unwanted services. They have what seems to be a "closer" come in after the cleaning. I too was told that I had a "gum disease" and really should buy their $30 mouth rinse and also tried to sell me a $60 "gum irrigation". Isn't that called "water"? I was also told that they would really like to come in and have my teeth cleaned every 3 months, which of course isn't covered by insurance. I felt like I was at a used car lot. Can't recommend.

I like Valencia Dental Group a lot. They have a very professional staff that is trained properly in insurance and billing. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable during an exam. The office is really nice and well kept, and the decor is pleasant to look at.
