Best Buy need better people !

by Irna Q.

I visited the store the last week, I saw good products, but no really good people, mean the sales guys, no showing attitude of help you, I expect more, becouse I been in other stores and I receive more, talking about attitude/service/help..no feeling invited to back again...hoping the TV I buy, be good....I also need the antenna, (see what I mean..nobody explain what I will need..no inf, no help with the product to take to the park etc etc ....) but no from this store, ever....And is no about the number of sales persons, is about attitude!!! Irna.

Best Buy is sucky!

by Judi M.

Since Circuit City closed (Sunset and Virgil) I was encouraged to think that Best Buy was a positive replacement. Best Buy was 6 miles further but I truly thought that their selection was bigger and better. Holy Batman Robin was I in error. Not only couldn't find a sales clerk, I couldn't find a headset or a DVDR. I wandered around for 47 minutes. Went on a quest to find both. Stopped at the "employees only" room. No one around, to the check out line no luck. The guy at the check out counter pointed vaguely toward IPOD's and mumbled something about "he is over there" but I am not sure if that is indeed what he had uttered, I asked him to repeat himself and in frustration he said, flailing his arms around "He is over there!" Well I was frustrated as well and I left. I will never go back in that store again. Los Feliz Blvd. @ Revere in Atwater. I will go to Radio Shack (which I did and found exactly what I wanted).

Great store, great help, great advice

by Barbara H.

I just recently (1-7-07) stopped by Best Buy at the Gateway in West Hollywood and wow--unbelievable selection and prices. Best of all, I am a MAC user, and I was not expecting to see any Mac stuff, much less the latest Mac computers. They have a MAC Tech specialist on duty who knew EVERYTHING and then some. Thank you, thank you West Hollywood and Best Buy for this wonderful neighborhood service.

Horrible!

by Vonessa L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,340

The service is horrible at this Best Buy. I've definitely been to better ones. The store is really dirty compared to other Best Buys, and they don't have anything I want! Maybe it's like one of the Best Buys people just run to on Sundays or something. Or... the employees just don't take pride in their store.

One word...

by Charlene C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 1,952

There is one word I come up with when thinking about this store: empty. Devoid of employees (aside from those at the cashiers) and hardly-stocked shelves, I would not recommend shopping here unless you had no other electronics store or Best Buy to go to.

not my favourite

by marisa s. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 436

best buy has a great variety of electronics and video, but I always feel like I am left unattended. If you don't need help it is ok, but if you are unsure abpout what to buy then the staff won't really be helpful. they are friendly but when it comes to be knowledgable they are not good.

Cool to Shop Here

by eteresa l. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,841

This store is always fun to shop in. I love looking at the stereos, t.vs, cameras and home entertainment systems. This store offers great sales and the staff is always friendly and sometimes too eager to help or sell. I find that the flyers are helpful and sometimes you can get great rebates. Great for car stereo systems and pretty cheap too.

Very great store when you have a coupon or you go the sales or shop on the promotion days. You can find all the latest movies and music for very low prices. You also can get DVD players and tv's for low prices. Be sure to look in the paper for coupons and check out their ads for specials. Great electronic store.

A great place to look around and tinker with electronics. They do have a great stock of computers and digital cameras. I've purchased a great camera here and I've been very happy with it. They also have great coupons and sales and rebates. Check out the early bird specials during the holidays.

This store has probably the least informed, worst trained sales staff of any retail establishment I've ever been to. I was recommended accessories that did not fit the items I described to the salesperson. It took half an hour for me to check out $300 of merchandise, from the time I got to the counter. Then I had to return, because the clerk didn't know how to choose the best financing option for me. I ended up having to return, then repurchase, everything. I went back a couple days later to buya cell phone, and they could not complete my transaction because Best Buy Credit's computers were down. The salesperson looked only interested in getting me away, rather than apologizing for the inconvenience.

I will not be shopping at this Best Buy, even though it's the closest one to where I live. I will go twenty minutes out of my way to another Best Buy.

Below average for the Best Buy brand

by jericsmall

This Best Buy at the brand new facilities at La Brea and Santa Monica seems to be a good thing, but the staff are probably the least well trained I have experienced, that is IF you can find them. From all other appearances, this is simply the standard Best Buy ... large, TVs grouped to one area, computers in another, DVDs and CDs taking up the center, etc. Love having this store in the neighborhood, but I'm totally willing to drive out to any other of their area stores to get the service I want and sometimes need. Sorry guys.

Cons: Parking is annoying
