1 Stars: Fladeboe Volkswagen is UNPROFESSIONAL AND PLAYS GAMES (by R W.)

Came to the dealership on July 31. The salesman that came to help me was a young kid who was brand new to the dealership, knew less about the cars than I did. Test drove the CC and talked about what I can afford. I gave him a specific amount per month including all fees and the complete down. He calls the next day with "good news" gave me a great price asked if I could come down now. I asked twice if the monthly payment included all the fees, he thought it did, but would ask and call me right back. Again, new salesman...who acts dumb or innocent. He calls back 90 minutes later, says it didn't including the fees and completely changed the monthly rate to an additional 75/month. I was so upset and told him I didn't appreciate what they were doing and hung up. The most the monthly rate should have gone up was $30-$35/month, which is approx. 10%. I called the sales' manager, left a message about the problem, no one called me back. RUN from this dealership! Too many bad reviews and they are completely unprofessional.

1 Stars: Fladeboe Volkswagen (by Marie S.)

KC, I took Fladeboe Volkswagen Irvine to the Laguna Hills small claims court for $900 in damages and service that was never completed as promised. Make sure you get a judge who knows the laws regarding auto dealership repairs/fraud. I had a temp judge who ruled in favor of Fladeboe even though I had overwhelming proof (pictures, receipt, police reports, video, etc). Fladeboe even presented false evidence and produced false repair receipts!

The Bureau of Automotive Repair and I have requested explanations from that temp judge and he refuses to answer why he favored Fladeboe. I discovered later that the judge is an Orange County divorce attorney who is currently being sued by two of his clients!

1 Stars: Turned in my leased VW Passat To Fladeboe VW (by K C.)

I turned in my VW Passat Feb 10, 2009 at Fladeboe Irvine VW. I was unable to get an inspection from VW Credit due to then high amount of people turning in their vehicles in the Orange County area, they were booked for 30 days I would have had to extend my lease to get the inspection). Fladeboe inspected my vehicle and gave me their Vehicle Condition Report which showed that my car was in excellent condition. However, Fladeboe did not report that my car was returned to VW Credit until March 20 and then sometime later had my car inspected by VW Credit and now all of the sudden my VW Passat has $825 worth of dents in the driver's side door and the wheels are completely bald even though I am under my user mileage. I am furious! I have been talking with my attorney and will be taking Fladeboe in Irvine to court!

1 Stars: Reporting.. (by William S.)

If youve had a horrible experience with Fladeboe Volkswagen, please report the issue to the: Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit, Office of the District Attorney, County of Orange, 401 Civic Center Drive West, Suite 500, Santa Ana, CA 92701. You may also write to the Bureau of Automotive Repair/Department of Consumer Affairs.

1 Stars: Very deceiptful practices at this dealership. (by Genevieve S.)

Had my Passat serviced at Fladeboe Irvine VW and they charged me for repairs that were supposed to be on recall since February 2008! It even states so on the final repair receipt, yet they still charged me for this and unnecessary repairs on other VW parts (system flush where they forgot to reattach hoses and coolant later leaked everywhere, some very expensive electrical control unit switch which made absolutely no difference in my car - don't even have proof that they replaced this part).
When the managers were confronted with these issues, they stated they "will look into the situation and call me back." That's the last I heard from them. It's been several months and they still haven't returned any of my phone calls. I am taking this to the Orange County District Attorney's office as the Bureau of Automotive Repair/Department of Consumer Affairs can do nothing but investigate and report.
My advice: Purchase your VW from another dealership (Capistrano and Commonwealth have excellent reviews) and NEVER have any service performed at Fladeboe Irvine Volkswagen.

1 Stars: Terrible service! (by Alan W.)

Brought my brand new 2008 VW Jetta in for it's oil change and maintenance check to Fladeboe Volkswagen. Picked up my car and on the way home, the lower engine cover fell off on the freeway because their service department forgot to bolt it in properly. The cover somehow caught onto the transmission and caused several punctures in the transmission pan, causing leakage. My new car is now in a transmission shop and the folks at Fladeboe aren't taking any responsibility! I should have read the reviews on this dealership before taking my car in.

1 Stars: Paid for repairs not even completed... (by Gina S.)

Brought my Passat with a list of problems I've been having with it (no radio, a/c broken, horn not working, headlight out, instrument panel out, heated seat, etc.). Fladeboe tells me it will cost $780 to repair all of this but they were nice enough to reduce it to $700. They offered a rental car as long as I paid for 1 day. I agreed. Days later, Fladeboe calls me telling me that everything is fixed and to pick it up. It was Saturday. Pick up my car and discover ONLY the horn had been fixed and there was a loud idling noise in my engine. I had no other choice but to drive my only means of transportation home. On the way home, my Homelink system panel falls into my face while driving! When I get home, a neighbor points out my sidelight that was hanging from a wire (the tension rings that hold the part in were missing). Fladeboe VW offered to "look" at the vehicle and stated they will call me next week with an answer. That was over a month ago. After several attempts at contacting the service manager, general manager, and owner with no return phone calls, I decided to get the Bureau of Automotive Repair, Better Business Bureau, and VW of America (who claims they can't do anything about it) involved. VW of America even stated they haven't been able to contact the manager at Fladeboe for over a week! I have a lot of patience, but I have no other choice but to take them to court. I also had to deal with the mixup at the rental car place b/c they overcharged my credit card and caused over the limit fees . :(

1 Stars: Poor & Inconsistent Communication from Service (by Kevin K.)

I contacted Fladeboe because of an issue that just came up with my Passat where a front plate became unfastened under the car and was dragging on the ground. I asked to be connected with service, and after a minute was connected with someone. I explained my issue, and asked specifically if I could bring it in today to get it fixed. After being put on hold for a few minutes, she came back and said that I could. I reiterated that I needed to get it back today, and she said it would be fixed today. Then I called back about 20 minutes later to see if they had a shuttle, and spoke with someone else. When I told her what I was told before about being able to get it looked at today, she said that was impossible and that they didn't have appointments until later in the week.

I work in customer service. Not only did she in essence say I was lying (nobody here would have told you that), she did not offer to give me a number for another VW dealership that might be able to help me.

It's too bad, as I just took a new job near Fladeboe which makes it the most convenient place for my VW service. A company that presents itself that way, however, will not get my business, or that of anyone I know with VW service needs.

Oh, and then to top it off, the automated email response I got after providing a comment back to them on their website is from the Internet/Fleet dept essentially trying to sell me a car.

Unbelievable.

1 Stars: Repair Service slow (by Lisa S.)

Usually if you are waiting for your car to be service for something simple like an oil change, the dealer or garage tries to get you in and out. Not in this case. Leave your car there because waiting is very time consuming. It was easier and faster to go to the other dealers further away then to go to Fladeboe VW. Not overly impressed.
