Now this is Mexican food. Great tacos, and the deep fried ice cream is sinful. My grade starts with the salsa though, and i find it to be one of the best in LA. Get there before 5 pm and miss the rush.

Brings back the old days of the Red Onion in Redondo Beach, if you dont mind climbing the hill the foodl is good and the environment reminds me of the good ole days. Try the mixed drinks, they blend them well.

This restaurant has been around for a long, long time and has managed to maintain quality in the food that it serves, the service it provides for dining in or takeout, and friendliness. I've grown up along with the restaurant and I only wish that I had aged as well. Whenever family members gather there's only one place we can all agree on, the Red Onion. One of my favorite dishes in the chef's special relleno which is stuffed with roast beef. We also love the fish tacos, the different combo plates, and, oh, the chicken-stuffed quesadilla is a must as an appetizer. I could go on and on; if you live anywhere within 20 miles, believe me this will be the best bet for you.

I needed rice for 50 people for a party so I had my brother call in the order for me. When my husband picked up the order later in the day I was shocked to learn that they charged us $80 for two containers of rice (not nearly enough for 50

This place is an institution. My husband and his family have been going for years. I'd say that the service is even better than the food...and the food is really good. There is a very extensive menu, so the whole family is happy.

I am so happy to be the first to review my favorite restaurant, the Red Onion.

Perhaps a lot of my enthusiasm comes from the fact that I've been dining here my whole life, but that's just a testament to the place.

Family owned and run, the Red Onion offers a huge menu with a variety of choices for reasonable prices. Their pitchers of margaritas are delicious but perhaps the very best are the chips and salsa.

You can't go wrong with a #2 combo with rice and beans...of course leaving rooms for heaping helpings of chips and salsa!

The place gets relatively packed on weekends but I believe they only take reservations for larger parties. It's really the place to be on the Peninsula (are there many other places to be though?) and every time I go I end up running into old friends.

Definitely the place to eat in Palos Verdes and a reliable choice for delicious Mexican food and great service.

Good Food but you often forget it's there. This your classic california mexican cuisine and you never leave unsatisfied. I think this is one of the original Red Onion's but it's in a difficult location to find if you're not a local. But
