Homegrown Baking Co

Best bagels I've ever tried. Fresh and great flavor choices. Very local feeling and the prices are great. I know people who come to Sonoma from San Francisco to enjoy these bagels.

Homegrown Bagels has been in Sonoma forever it seems and is definitely a local favorite. It usually takes me longer to figure out what bagel variation to order then it does for them to prepare it. Whether the bagels are plain, toasted, buttered, jellied, or part of a sandwich, these bagels are the best around. I've never been disappointed.

Homegrown Bagels is a Sonoma institution! I have grown up eating these bagels~ and even when I was away at college~ I always brought a bag back with me!

The owner actually learned to make bagels in Israel~ so these are the REAL deal! They offer quite a variety~ but their classics are still the best! My favorites are the plain, the bialy (sp?) and the herb cream cheese!

The business is pretty funky~ but has so much potential! The customer service pretty well stinks. The service is slow. The kids working in back seem more interested in hanging out and showing off their piercings than getting my order out in a timely manner. Really how long does it take to slice a bagel and smear some cream cheese on it? Certainly not as long as it takes this bunch....and I speak from food service experience so I'm not just being a jerk saying this.

Something is certainly missing in the bagel shop itself~ and definitely in the service~ but these are the best bagels by far!!

PROS: Fabulous bagels & cream cheese!
CONS: Service stinks!
