Ratings_icons Dr. Camilon is the right guy for my kids

Steve L.

So he is not warm and fuzzy. Big Deal. I have had all 3 of my children visit this fine man. I would have given him 5 stars but he is not fuzzy. He is very popular and the waiting room is just that, a waiting room. Plan to wait. I found him to be the right guy for the job if your child has ear problems. He knows his stuff!

Ratings_icons I have to agree

Dr. Camilon has no bed-side manners. We went in to his office he says hearing test and CAT Scan and we are sent away. We go for hearing test and Audiologist confirms my daughter has 36% hearing loss in one ear, and it is nerve damage and says a hearing aid will not help. We get CAT Scan, Dr Camilons office never calls us to tell us what is up with the results. I call them they say she has hearing loss and needs a hearing aid. I try to ask them how will that help when the audiologist said it won't and all I get is she needs a hearing aid. We are trying to get a hearing aid for her now and Audiologist is sending her records free of charge. They said they will send them out tonight and I will have them tomorrow. Camilons office says I need to pay them $15 to get her records. It is all about the money, not the kids. How can I be convinced otherwise?????

Ratings_icons Who is this Guy?

Terrible bed-side manners. Apparently they don't teach class in medical school. We waited for about 20 minutes in the waiting room, which is fine. But when we actually went in we waited another 10 minutes, my child started to get fussy so my wife walked out of the room to walk him around-this nurse tells her "No, you can't come out here!", which is fine, but the way she jumped on her was not very friendly. Then, when the Dr. came in he looked at our child for about 5 minutes and said that he needed surgery and moved us along to go sign forms. This is not the way I am going to look out for the interest of my 3 month old child. As his father, I owe him to have asked questions and get an understanding of what it is that is going to happen, what the pros and cons are and is there any alternatives. Then if something goes wrong, later in life I can, with a clear conscience, explain to my son what happened.

Ratings_icons Best ENT Around

When your child is referred to a surgeon you need the best technician out there. That is what Dr. Camilon is. He gives a precise and accurate diagnosis. He is careful and thoughtful. His demeanor is not warm and fuzzy, but when he is operating on your child you don't need him to be chatty. You need him to be skilled and knowledgable, which he undoubtably is.

He will answer any and all of your questions and will take the time to explain the procedures to you at length. In our case he showed us photos of what our daughter was going to have removed. Not pretty, but educational.

His staff is very efficient and we have found them to be very kind. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see the doctor.
Hope this helps.

Ratings_icons Absolute Best Pediatric ENT EVER!!!!

DO NOT Listen to these bad reviews! Dr. Camilon knows his stuff. Even if he is a quiet man who cares!!! If you want your child well he is the man for you. ESPECIALLY if you have a special needs child. He really knows how to take care of disabled children. He has operated on my child 3 times as a baby and he is the BEST!

Ratings_icons More of a banker than a doctor

When I arrived, there were two other patients waiting. I asked them what their appointment time was and realized that they were the same as mine. Naturally, this office multiple booked patients so Camilon doesnt waste his time when theres a no-show or cancellation. However, if everyone shows up, then patients will have to waste their time and wait. Finally my child gets to go in. Camilon sped through the examination 100 mph. Didnt provide any explanation and shoved us out the door. I felt like he was more interested in seeing as many patients as possible than providing patient care. My impression of Camilon is a short, rude, and arrogant man with a Filipino accent that was quite difficult to understand. I will not come back to this office or recommend it to anyone. I heard from many people that Dr. Ahuja is a very good pediatric ENT. There are also some good ENT physicians at UCI medical center.

Ratings_icons Best ENT I've had

Lisa A.

I love Dr. Camilon. He was respectful to me and my children. If a prescription was necessary he prescribed the exact amount necessary to knock out the bug! I've had to have many rounds with previous M.D.s I found him to be caring and precise in his diagnosis and treatment. I think this just proves different doctors for different people. That's the way the world works. There is no one answer for everyone. Not even penicillin!

Ratings_icons RUDE AND ARROGANT AMONG OTHER THINGS

Anonymous

I would like to be able to be informed when it comes to making decisions about my CHILD'S health. I don't think this is too much to ask. As a mother it is my JOB since last time I checked three-year olds aren't very good at making decisions for themselves. If you go with this doctor, good luck but I REFUSE! Went to his office for multiple ear infections for my three-year old, he ignored me when I asked questions, was short and abrasive. He acted as if I wasn't there. He told me to buy some "over the counter" ointment; come to find out after leaving, it is prescription only....this list goes on and on...I will not go back to his office. I know there are many qualified ENT doctors for children in this area. Unless you are in the mood to be treated like yesterday's garbage, I suggest you find another doctor to care/treat your child.

Vetry respected and talented pediatric ENT. Offers a very conservative approach. But, when surgery is required, you have got the best for your children. Office wait lines are small and an average visit is under 30 minutes. Highly recommend.
