Mongird Construction

Mongird Construction was chosen for our home remodel because Mark Mongird had a successful, verifiable track record. As we planned our remodel, it was like a stale piece of bubble gum: the more we chewed the bigger it got. It ultimately included the extension of the kitchen and a major remodel, raising the sunken living room floor, new slate flooring in the entryway and the family room, hardwood floors in the living room and dining room, removal of the popcorn ceilings, smoothing the plaster on all walls, new lighting everywhere, remodeling a bathroom, and finally a new deck with an outdoor kitchen. Mark and his crew handled all in the planned timeframe, and I dont believe we had a single costly change order in the lot.

While roadblocks occurred during the construction phase, all were handled with ease and made us even happier customer-clients. We ordered an expensive chandelier for the dining room that had a slanted ceiling. The base of the chandelier was designed for a flat ceiling. A big meeting between the contractor, the designer and us resulted in no decent plan. Marek, the foreman, came to the rescue. He thought outside the box and meticulously cut the stainless base to work on the diagonal ceiling and even had room for the transformer. All of Marks crew were excellent at their respective jobs and were good people besides. If we ever have additional work to be performed around our house, I will hire Mark Mongird without hesitation.

Mongird has helped us with a couple of construction projects in our house. We were thrilled with everyone we met on their team. Both Mark Mongird, and his office manager, Judy - are easily accessible and give realistic time frame and price quotes. Both are very friendly, honest, and offer sound advice. The contractors are outstanding - we found each person who worked on our house to be professional, friendly, knowledgeable and hardworking. Mark Mongird is in close contact with everyone on his team, and is often present making sure the customer is satisfied. We have other projects that we want done - and we will definitely turn to Mongird Construction for their help.

I kid-you-not, our major remodel project was finished 6 weeks ahead of shedule (4.5 months instead of 6) and slightly under budget. Mark Mongird was easy to work with and consistently made suggestions for cutting cost. Our project involved lifting the house, remodeling existing structure and adding new construction. All was executed very well. His crew is on time, very hard working, thoughtful, trustworthy, and experienced. I recommend them for any project-- big or small. We will turn to them for any future construction needs.

Mongird Construction renovated a main bathroom for us in November 2006. They did an excellent job and I felt very comfortable working with the owner and his employees. We got several bids for the job, and Mongird came in at about the middle. The job took 3 months (they gutted the bathroom to the studs) which seems like a long time, but I had no complaints. I would recommend Mongird Construction.

Mark and his crew are very professional, deliver what they promise and take care of all of your concerns or issues in a fast and very friendly way. We were impressed with their punctuality, hard work and communication skills. We are very happy and would highly recommend Mark and his crew to all of our friends. Job well done.

Mark and his team did a great job on our kitchen/family room model. They turned 4 rooms into one big kitchen/family room, installed new furnaces, replaced the old electrical system and upgraded some plumbing as well. The workers and the office staff were always responsive and helpful. The project was completed in a timely manner. The craftsmanship was superb as well. We have since also had them remodel a bathroom for us. I highly recommend them.

About 2 years ago we had Mongird construction dig out our crawlspace and build us a 625sq ft. family room. It was serious work, involving the rebuilding of the foundation while supporting the rest of the house. Mark and company did a wonderful job. And when we have had questions (even 1 year after the work was complete) Mark cheerfully came by to have a look. The price was very reasonable, comparing his bid to others, and his billing practice was very fair. In general, we got a genuine feeling of honesty, and a desire to do quality work from Mark, Marek and his crew. If we had some project in the future we wouldn't hesitate to use him again!

We met with several contractors to get bids, and Mark's was by far the best! The best part was he didn't seem desperate to get the job. And everything was calm and peaceful. No pressure, and anything could be done. The work started right away, finished ahead of schedule and very close to the budget. Marek, the foreman was a terrific carpenter and a very hard worker. Judy in the office was very nice and helped keep things organized and moving along. We are so happy we are going on with our second bathroom and the kitchen after that. Can't say enough good things about Mark Mongird and his crew.
