Very bad customer service, the two employees at the counter were yelling each other really bad. They gave me a car with the front bumper hanging from one side I don't think that's fair if you are paying $59 a day.

I don't know where to start, the customer service was bad, the car was horrible. When i was in the car rental office one of the employees a indian guy was very rude he was trying to rush mme out of there I barely understand what he was saying apparently he was in a rush, I got the car and it had 2 big dents in the front and rear. There was something wrong with clutch in that car it was heavy and was difficult to change gears. I called the company and the guy was rude didnt apologize or gave me any kind of discount. It was the first and last time I rent with this people.

I will never rent again with this company, my boyfriend made a reservation for a Toyota Corolla and when we arrived at the office we received a Suzuki Forenza.
The car was fine in the outside but the seats were dirty we drove to Napa Valley 5 minutes after we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge the car strted to run weird, we have a check engine light at the dashboard, a lot of noise from the engine and vibration at any speed over 55mph, suddenly the car stalled and we had to pull over, we called to the office one guy told us that there was no more cars available the only option was to call a tow truck. But we had areservation for a hotel in Napa and we didn't want to go back to San Francisco, we started the car again and we went to Napa.
The car didnt go over 30mph for most the road and stalled twice once we arrived at our hotel we just left the car there and we went around Napa in Taxis and Buses. On the way back to SF ithe car was the same, we were crawling on the highway at 20mph.
when we called the rental company one guy said that he is going to test drive the car, we called again and he said that the cars OK and we have to pay the full amount of the rental. We asked for a discoint for all the probpems and he said that the carsl was fine and he can't issue any credit.
The car was in bad conditions and now that Im reading the reviews I can see that the car has been in that way for a while adont rent with this people, they have the same rates than thrifty or dollar but dollar and thrifty have better customer service and locations all over the bay area where you can exchange the car incase you have problem.

WOW apparently people had enough from this guys. I rented a car like 4 months ago. They charged $500 for a some damage I never did... by the way the Collision Waiver only covers over $500 so u still have to paid $500 no matter what. I disputed the charge in my credit card with Bank of America and I got my money back.
THIS GUYS WILL CHARGE YOU FOR SOMETHING GAS OR A DAMAGE THEY EXPECT THAT U WILL NEVER COME BACK OR NEVER COMPLAIN THATS THE WAY THEY MAKE MONEY. Maybe they thought I was from out of town cauze I have TX driver license.l, but I live in SF and I work for a bank and I know how to dispute the charges, a blank voucher means nothing if u know your rights. If you ever have a situation like this go to your bank, call the bank or contact the Better Bussines Bureau they would help you to get your money back from this scamers.

I agree with Mike G. this guys dont care about te vehicles I rented a Corolla the car has the tire pressure and airbag warning lights on. When I called the office one guys told me not to worry that everything was fine. I asked i friend who used to work in toyota dealer and he told me that the light is a malfunction in airbag system probably somebody ha an accident in that car and they just fixed the body.
My boyfriend wants to rent the same car if we come back to SF and maybe have a small accident and sue for a malfunction in the airbag LOL.
But seriously I have never seen a company with cars in such a bad condition or sucha bad service, the car beside the warnings lights it was full of scratches and stains in carpets and cup holders, the return in the evening or at night is kinda risky if someone else hits the car or somebody gets in the parking lot and do something to the car you have to pay for it and is an open garage close to the tenderloin and nibody is in there to watch the cars or check your car.
Go to a national company like avis or thrifty so get a better service and a nicer car. If you use websites like priceline.com or expedia.com you can get the full coverage for $10 and very good rates. Plus the deposit is only $250 instead of $500

Very bad service, cars are disgusting and they don't care I paid $129.99 for a convertible and there was stains all ove the seats, the guy who gave me the car said that the company don't have the tools to clean the seats and the manager don't care... so what ever people do in the car stays on the seats. I askd the guy for a different car and he show me a toyota and the car was in the same conditions plus the tires were bald i don't know how this company operates in te city with such bad vehicles. The second thing I notice is when you return the car at night there is nobody in there to check the vehicle so any damage that may happen to the car is your own fault... and at tthe next I got charge extra for not filling the gas tank there was less than 3/8 of a tank when I took the car and they were charging me 1/8 after spending 5 min talking to them they void the charge. I think this company is only for turists and they take the advantage from them somebody from spain isn't going to spend 5 minutes on a international call and he probably would never come back to the city... plus they are going to put a $500 authorization in your credit card without telling you by the time you sign the contract the authorization is already there and it took a week to get cleared.
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE GO TO A MAJOR COMPANY LIKE DOLLAR, ENTERPRISE OR THRIFTY USE THEIR WEBSITES AND YOU CAN GET A BETTER DEAL, A MUCH BETTER SERVICE AND A CLEAN CAR.

Sign outside says "Toyota Rental 24.95" once inside he told us he had a standard available for $39.99/day including insurance. Fine whatever. I get there the next morning and it's a Suzuki something, but it's an automatic so that's not a bad tradeoff. When we filled out the paperwork he had me sign the deposit imprint of my card, but there was no amount on the visa. He told me the engine light came on but not to worry about it.

The car was full of gas but ran horrible, the transmission was skipping, engine seemed to lose power, etc. We headed out to Napa anyway and almost made it back when the car completely lost power and would only run about 5 mph. This was right after the toll booth for the Bay Bridge. we called him and crawled back to the shop where he wasn't helpful in the least and refused to return our money or help get my wife to the airport. I never received a final bill yet as this just happened today. What are my rights as a customer?

We where to San Francisco to visting. We found this car rental company (RELIABLE RENT-A-CAR A FAMILY BUSINESS) We rented a car for $25.00 for 24 hours. When we saw the car we noticed the damage to it. We got our receipt and they had written down the damage to the car. We returned the car as instructed, there was no attentant so the keys were left in a lock box. The next morning the company call and said that there was front end damage and they wanted $500.00 to settle the claim. This company preys on visitors to the S.F. area, bcause they know it will be difficult to dispute their claim if you live far away. RELIABLE RENT-A-CAR A FAMILY BUSINEES A-R-E!! THIEVES AND SCAM ARTIST. They are using there business license to scam people. The city that issued the business license should also be liable for the bad acts of this company. (CAN YOU SAY VICARIOUS LIABLIITY) THIS COMPANY HAS MAKE THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY NEAR AND AROUND THE S.F. AREA LOOK VERY SHADDY....

These people are scammers... A) If you reserve a car, it doesn't mean you will actually get one even if you show up on time. B) They supposdely give a free rental after your 5th rental with them... when you reach your 5th one, they won't give you the free rental. C) They always charge extra on the credit card, watch it! and they're very impolite and unprofessional. Bottom line, pay more money elsewhere and get a "reliable" service.

While visiting SF I rented a 'compact' car - the car was an old model toyota Yaris, which didn't even had power windows. The price for 1 day was $32 - when we took the car the gas tank was half - returned the car at 6 pm to the designated garage with full tank. When I came to home saw my account was billed $75. We decline the insurance because we had our own insurance card with us. I think SF city should close these robbers they are running a very dishonest business.

In fact, even by name they are an embarrassment to the SF business community. Here is how the scam works. Unsuspecting foreign visitor to SF rents car from (un)Reliable Rent A Car at 349 Mason St. The renter returns the car and two months later, once the visitor is back in their home country, their credit card is CHARGED for supposed damage to the car. Not to mind that FULL INSURANCE had been paid for when the car was rented. Beware these thieves. The foreign victims get the run around by the office staff, and they are never given the opportunity to speak with the manager. Messages, emails, faxes will be left by the victims, but no effort is made by the (un)Reliable Rent A Car to contact the renter. They operate on the fact that most foreigners will never again return to SF and will just give up on trying to get their stolen funds returned. Beware, beware, beware. Better stay away from these scam artists and stick to the national car rental agencies.
