Generally they say you get what you pay for, but in this situation I have to highly disagree! I booked this church 9 months prior to my wedding and from day one had nothing but issues with the staff. Had it not been for the sentimental reasons of my grandparents getting married in this church over 60 years ago I would have NEVER gone through with using the church for my wedding. There are so many things that went wrong. To name a few, we werent notified until a week before our wedding that we only had 4 hours the day of the wedding to use the church. This completly threw or original plans of getting ready and pictures before the wedding into a whirlwind of chaos. The night of our rehersal our wedding coordinator (Jen Cox, provided through the church) rushed us through the entire process and told us that she had to be done no later than and hour after we started practice as she had a previous engagement she had to attend, later telling us that she was going to a movie across the street! Even though we told her several times we were uncomfortable with how the rehersal went she stuck to her words and made us finish in time for her to make her movie. During the ceremony the Rev. left out a part of a prayer that was supposed to include the names of a few of my husbands and my passed loved ones, even though we had gone over the information with him twice, he completely left all of it out of the prayer. The day of the wedding the wedding church coordinator was extremly rude and bossy, even at one point making my flower girl/daughter cry during pictures. I refused to let any of this ruin the day of my wedding as I knew there was nothing I could do about it then but have since been in contact with the church administrator (Renee) regarding my complaints and for 2 months she has been giving me nothing but the run around! Brides think twice before you use this church, I have so many regrets.

Across the street from California's State Capitol, this is a venerable institution, and a fine Presbyterian Church. The minister is a wise and intellectually curious man, not without controvery, but still an asset to the service of worship. My parents were happy members of Westminster for many years, both serving as helpers and greeters, while my father served briefly as an Elder. In the Fellowship Hall there is an amazing Tiffany Stained Glass window.
Old, solid, stately, and important to the community.

I got married at Westminster and what an amazing place! The church is beautiful, the staff is very helpful and I really felt like my wedding went amazingly well. The fee is reasonable for everything that is included, and the assistance of a wedding coordinator makes everything flow very smoothly. I would absolutely recommend getting married there!!

PROS: Great support, beautiful location, friendly staff
CONS:

We had our wedding ceremony performed at this church. The place is absolutely beautiful but that's about where the pros end. The staff was not always very friendly and we had the pastor there flake out about a week before the wedding. Luckily a replacement ws brought in but not what you need at that time!
